Chael Sonnen puts on a fantastic act and never fails to entertain, it's almost like WWE but better and with real fighting, I hope he's around for a while, he's brilliant :D

Who else is silva going to fight?

Chael is still the top contender for silva there aren't many other fighters in the divison that are ready for a shot. It's just getting silva to agree to a rematch.

I think the guys hilarious... you cant take that guy serious but guess many do... guy pops up everywhere he even made that hot mma female fighter blush the other day by popping up during her interview:D

cant wait for him to dominate munoz, hes developed his own system of awesome and powerful controlled take downs and no one can ever recover from it, but sadly hes been caught in submissions many times from it and he has not seemed to learn from avoiding them.

Nice vid. It begs the question why do people bother smack talking before a fight?! Losing a fight isn't a bad thing. But losing a fight after smack talking your opponent is just self inflicted humiliation.

I really enjoyed that video was pretty well done and it just shows the sheer ability of the guy, he is a complete freak. One of those annoying gits that is no doubt amazing at everything he does.

Cracked me up listening to Rogan talking over the fights "Got to give the ground game to so in so can't see how GSP will get him down".
Followed by repeated take downs from GSP :D

Only issue i have with GSP and all his ability is i feel since he lost to serra, he fights to win and not to finish, before he lost to serra he took risks, were as now i think he puts more effort into making sure he wins, over finishing.
and although his last 2 fights he has kept them standing up hes still playing safe, look at his old fights before he was champion he was a lot more dynamic.

and at the end of the day the UFC is about entertainment. which is why jon fitch wont get a shot unless he gets a few knockouts :p

I don't think it's fair to criticize GSP over trying to win fights and not finish them. Sonnen summed it up pretty well.

Despite not finishing he's had lots of great matches.

hmm come to think about it I always felt perhaps dana/ufc pushed and got 5 rounds approved to almost force fighters to finish within 2-3 rounds... but obviously totaly wrong on that cos everyones happy to fight for 25 minutes long....

Perhaps chaels right 3 rounds was the sweet spot, if it was 3 rounds against the spider he might have won....

It's a hard one to get right. I've seen loads of great 5 round fights over the years.

Looking forward to brock v overeem on friday, think brock is gonna take it in the first round.

Maybe 15 mins of Pride style, a nice long round so if you need time to play a nice jitz sub game you've got it but not too long in total you're conserving energy for the later rounds.

A counter to that would be Frankie Edgar, he looked almost as fresh come the later rounds as when he starts.

But we still see 155lbers gassing, they are in the same weight class so shouldn't be carrying much more weight after rehydrating.
He was just an example, all clsses have dynamos who never end and those who die after the second round.
Heavyweights will die quicker but you still see the same spread of cardio/those with no cardio.
