told ya MM had this, his chins healthy and his cardio/speed/recovery are excellent he surely will take some punishment but will wear ufc gold I reckon. No doubt both guys gonna work on wrestling non stop, but MM made some lovely adjustments :)

Whoever thinks Jr stands a chance in hell at outstriking Reem, or can do anything at all against Cain's wrestling game; needs to stop watching MMA.

Plenty of people have talked up their wrestling game before getting KTFO by JDS without so much as a single takedown though :p
 
Great to see Fedor back to doing what he does best; beating cans, 185/205'ers, never has beens and never will bes.

He must have one of the most padded records in all of MMA, i'm struggling to think of anyone worse?

Let's take a look at the last few years of his illustrious career;

Rizzo - Washed up, last win was against Ken Shamrock?
Satoshi Ishii - 205'er
Jeff Monson - lol
Brett Rogers - Got beat by Eddie Sanchez, say no more
Andrei Arlovski - Chin like glass
Tim Sylvia - Dire. Was only at the top as the HW division was so light, again, quickly shipped out once found out
Choi Hong-man - Freak show
Matt Lindland - 185'er
Mark Hunt - Lost to Mccorkle. Record is 8-7
Mark Coleman - Washed up

And then recently he lost to;

Dan Henderson - Got beat, by not only a 205'er, but arguably a 185'er
Antonio Silva - Got dominated
Fabricio Werdum - Solid fighter to be fair

Granted, back in his day he was a solid fighter, beat some decent guys, but he hasn't beaten anyone of note in what, 6 years? The only legit guys he fought recently he got whooped.

Get on MMA Junkie and it's like he's top 5 again all of a sudden, would whoop cain, Overeem etc etc..... I don't get it. :confused:

An yes he will be able to strike with Overeem, this isn't K1 it's MMA.

Overeem has never shown the greatest chin anyway.
 
He gave a voluntary test sample to Kizer the other day.

Hilarious really, well done Overeem you can pass a test when you take it on a day of your choosing.

JDS didn't do anything impressive at all, it was one punch mate, could happen to anyone, if I was JDS I'd be unhappy with that victory.

Your right, it isn't K-1. Now tell me what advantage that gives JDS when you consider that Ubereem is about twice as physically strong, maybe more, and one of the best aggression & submission grapplers in the divison. If they ever fight, Ubereem will absolutely end his life, then Cain will end his.

His testosterone was what, 14 times that of the average man? Whats that exactly? A guy who sits behind his keyboard on Sherdog/Twitter trying to abuse fighters and spends the rest of his life on Call of Duty? What exactly in the average man's life even generates any decent amount of testosterone? It's not hard to assume, especially with TRT; that Ubereem can be 14x the average amount when you consider the extreme lifestyle he has. Nobody conditions brute strength and pure striking like he does.

Before you accuse me of being a fanboy, I'm really not, I've met Alistair and he really wasn't the nicest of guys. This is fact though, and this is MMA, style's make fights... JDS will die to a better striking and an alpha wrestler (love to see him vs. Brock Lesnord).

Overeem has beaten almost every striker with a name, there's really only JDS left to go.

He never 'failed' a drug test, blame all this **** on the pathetic athletic commission, this is exactly the same as what happened to Chael, everything was legit and somebody bodged it up on the officials end and got him a bad rep, I can't go on anything to with Chael on the internet without some retard loser being all 'lololololol steroid dis man am be steroid man'.

Cannot wait for him to dominate Silva AGAIN.

If he produces so much Testosterone because of his extreme lifestyle, why is he injecting himself with aqueous testosterone?? For a rib injury? What, people believe this? Also, did he ever actually claim to be on TRT?

Like Carwin, or Cain? They not Alpha enough? Don't get me wrong, I fancy Cain in a rematch but to say JDS would "Die to an alpha wrestler" when he's already faced 2 is just silly. As for Lesnar, why would you want to see that, so that he turtles up like a foetus as soon as Junior lays hands on him?

As for Chael, totally agree, would love to see him smash Silva.

I wasn't at all surprised, neither was I surprised when Chael got dragged through the mud, or when Diaz almost lost his career thanks to having Marijuana in his system.

The Athletic State Commission are a joke, they are more pathetic than the judges, and that's saying something.

MMA is quickly becoming a joke thanks to clowns in suits.

Carwin isn't that great of a wrestler, he's good, even by heavyweight standards, but he isn't the top in his field by far. Besides, Carwin decided to stand and try and slug against a precise, technical striker, there was no way that would end well.

Again, you can't really count Cain at all, did Cain even shoot? Did JDS even have to try and stop that gorilla from driving him through the canvas? Cain is hungry, JDS is gonna make Bigfoot look like a walk in Teletubby Land, its gonna be a murder.

I like JDS, I really do. He's a cool guy, and probably has the most decent personality in the sport. I feel sorry for him when Cain ends his spree and all the fans stop hugging his nuts, I don't think that'll make him a very happy dude.

The problem Cain will always have with someone who hits like JDS is his chin isn't great. JDS hits hard, very hard. Don't get me wrong I am not saying it's set in stone JDS will beat him again, Cain is more than capable of beating him.

But the fight is not a gimme for either man, and facts are facts JDS already beat him once.

The reason I meantion it's not K1 is because of Overeem's fighting style and more specifically his guard, he uses a standard peekaboo style guard which works in K1 due to the gloves, in MMA not so much and a JDS uppercut would slice through it.

Reem is stronger no doubt, but JDS is way faster and personally I think he hits harder.

Has overeem even asked for a TRT exemption? Only reason people need it is because of steroid abuse, Chaels ******** story of hypergonadism is ridiculous, he claims never to having gone through puberty yet was a Div 1 NCAA wrestler, yeah right.

Overeem has beaten almost every striker with a name? Oh yeah he also lost to Kharitonov, Liddell, Rua got outstruck by lil Nog. He isn't a god.

An to be honest with you, I like both Chael and Overeem. But to think that neither of them have ever done steroids is just silly.

Neither of them have a given for the title, both have a fight on their hands.

I'm really not sure, Guida has never shown KO power and Maynard definitely has power.

Both are capable wrestlers, I think Guida edges the cardio but Maynard has fought 5 rounds before without too much issue.

I'll go with Maynard but would prefer Guida to win.
 
Maynard is a historical "Lay and Pray" guy, I personally think that's his best chance in this fight. I don't see him finishing Guida on the feet, and I don't see him winning a decision on the feet either. Guida is far too busy in that respect, and we've seen that Maynard doesn't particularly like busy fighters in that area (I appreciate Frankies speed/skill is on a different level to Clays)

If Maynard continues his recent trend of keeping the fight standing, I'm going for Guida, I do believe it'll be close though and a decision is pretty much nailed on.

Edit: Wow, Guida is 5/2 - might have some of that.

On another note, Mike Brown is fighting AGAIN! Seems he's on every couple of months, the guy is a machine.
