I'm not sure who I want to win.

If Silva wins convincingly he'll have shut Sonnen up and end the feud. If Sonnen wins his post fight trash talk will be epic and it will also set up the rubber match.
 
I'm torn between the two fighters after watching a bit of the build-up. Sonnen's work rate and attitude to training and fighting are awesome, but he also says some really stupid things, like what he said about the Brazilian kids playing in the mud and wanting to introduce Brazilians to soap. That sort of thing is really stupid and disrespectful and goes beyond trash talk in my opinion. If he wants to trash talk, he should stick to talking about the man he's fighting.

Anderson Silva is someone who I respect more than like. He is great to watch when he is being positive and attacking his opponent, but too often I've seen fights where he spends a large part of the fight backing up, avoiding strikes and not really offering much himself. I realise he likes to spend the first round understanding his opponent and looking for weaknesses and opportunities, but sometimes he lets that go on for too long. One thing I didn't like while watching the build-up was Silva's camp claiming that Sonnen didn't fight the real champion because Silva wasn't 100% fit. That's a lame excuse because it's very rare that fighters are ever 100% fit coming into a fight, they often pick up minor injuries leading up to it.

All-in-all, I think I'll be supporting Anderson Silva but won't be mega disappointed if Sonnen wins.

I hate it when fighters blame injury but seeing Silva's performance, it wouldn't surprise me.

Also, Silva is a counter attacker (or whatever you want to call it...), he rarely leads, he lets his opponent attack and he counters and catches him off-balance with his skill & speed.

I do like Sonnen and the role he plays (sometimes) - but you can't say things like that and still be respected. I understand he's in a fight and he feels he can say what he wants and I understand he's selling Pay Per View tickets which ultimately earn him money but you really can't say the things he says and get away with it - he's gone over the edge and far, far down the other side.

He's not just hyping the fight, he's not pushing boundaries he's just being an *** hole and totally disrespectful to the other fighter and his country - and for that, I hope Silva ****** schools him! Sonnen's a typical ignorant, arrogant American who only sees the end result and doesn't care if he has to stand on people or burn down 1/4 of the rain forest to achieve his dream.

Come on Silva!
 
Goddamn that was intense. Silva 'shoulders' Chael in the face. He's fired up.

There is no possible conceivable way that tomorrows card will be boring.

After what Silva did at the weigh in, he's shown exactly what he is. It would have been perfect if Sonnen fired back and cracked his jaw wide open.

I hope Sonnen ends his career and puts him in a wheelchair, if that doesn't happen at least we are guaranteed another 5 rounds of Silva being outstruck, outgrappled and humiliated.

Silva's attitude towards Sonnen is nothing to do with the trash talk, its to do with the fact somebody is here who doesn't fear him, somebody who has his number, somebody to prove what a fake he is and end his career, and Silva is scared.

We are finally meeting the real Silva. He ducked Chael for 2 years despite being absolutely manhandled for 5 rounds and claiming Sonnen doesn't 'deserve' a rematch... What!? The guy just raped you for 24 minutes straight, outclassed you in every aspect of MMA, how doesn't he deserve a rematch after your pathetic miracle yoga art of rapping your legs around another man's head, well done, goes perfectly with your pink shirts.

As funny as it is what Chael says, its a shame he's given Silva a scapegoat for being a complete douche. If Sonnen had of been completely respectful from day one, we'd still be seeing the same Silva.

What's funnier than Sonnen's mouthy attitude is that he dominated a fight for 24 minutes and still lost :D

sonnens done a real job on silva. he's right in his head.

i think with using dolce sonnet will be in better shape than the bisping fight. i have money on silva too but am starting to feel its a sonnen decision

I think they're both as bad as each other tbh, I'm not sure how I can have much respect for Silva after that. He should be fined for that.

Rubbish - it's this sort of build up that puts certain fights on a level above other big fights, be it in MMA or boxing, or any other combat sport.

If there hadn't been months and months of the call outs, the taunts etc. this fight wouldn't have anywhere near the buzz it has now - it would just be yet another title fight between two big names, like you get every few cards.
