I don't mind Diaz at all, some of the stuff he comes out with is pretty hilarious and personally I think we need characters like that in MMA. You know, the Koschecks and the Diazs of the sport.
However, the UFC appear to have done a pretty good job in hyping this fight into something that people think is going to be competitive. Bottom line is, in my eyes, the only chance someone has of beating GSP @ 170 is via a flash KO, one in a million punch (ala Serra) and Diaz simply doesn't have it in his locker.
GSP has the cardio, he has the stand up and more importantly for this fight, the wrestling to completely dominate this fight wherever he wants it to take place. Diaz has historically struggled against wrestlers, even those that are natural lightweights (Sherk and Sanchez anyone?) so i'm pretty such GSP won't have a problem doing what he wants to on the floor.
I'm looking forward to the Hendricks hype train being derailed as well, that's been a long time coming.
