Gutted for big Country. But Hunt is class, you could tell Roy was tired in the second, didn't expect a KO though but fair play excellent fight.

Genuinely looking forward to every single fight on 178. Main event less so, but DJ is fun to watch.

Me too, first time in a long time the whole card has me interested. I can't wait to see Dominick Cruz back in action and Cowboy Cerrone always has fun fights too.

I'm hoping Kennedy and Romeros wrestling cancel each other out and there will be a stand up war between them, on the flip side though it could turn in to a 15 minute grappling match, and as it will be primarily wrestling it could be rather boring.

Ridiculous the amount of main event/co-main event fights that have been postponed or cancelled this year due to injury. Still, Hendricks vs Lawler is a great replacement fight, and on the plus side it means that we are going to have Jones vs Cormier, Anderson vs Diaz, and Weidman vs Belfort all early next year. Dana White has said that Weidman will now fight Vitor in February, it would be awesome if that happened at the event scheduled for the O2 arena.

178 tonight!

Also, UFC teamed up with DC Comics to create the poster for 181.

Really looking forward to this, big names on a stacked card.

Cruz making his return and headlining the prelims, really looking forward to Poirier/McGregor and Alvarez/Cerrone.

prelims 1am-3am, main card 3am - 6am BTsport 1
im going to have a lil siesta thisafternoon so i can make it through the night to watch this, although tbh the main event doesnt really interest me

I'm with you on the 'main event' cainer, there are better fights below it IMO.

Just hope Tim Kennedy comes to fight and not go into wet blanket mode too.

Yep that was a pretty awesome night of fights. Slightly tainted by the chair incident and the clearly mismatched main event though. Imagine how awesome it would have been if Jones vs Cormier was still on the card

Great fight card.

Gonna be some spoilers below but if you are in a MMA thread after an even has happened then you should expect them :p

Zingano / Nunes, those girls really threw down!

I feel for Tim Kennedy, the NSACs (I presume they were their guys) that were in the cage should never be in the cage again - if it wasnt for BJM then Yoels corner would still be in there now. Seemed like that delay tactic gave Yoel the time he needed to recover

Dominic Cruz looked awesome, sweet level change and really put it on Mizugaki, loved his closer too "look forward to beating more alpha fails" ouch :D

Poirier / McG, I honestly thought it would have gone the other way.

Cerrone looked awesome too.

Really enjoyed the card, best in a long time! :)

EDIT: Oh, and....

Hey everybody, I don't post in here often, but I don't know anyone where I live in my own personal life that watches MMA or UFC so dont have anyone else to ask questions or talk about this sport with so please forgive me for sharing my thoughts and rants with you!! lol

I just wanted to say a few things out loud, the first thing being that I cant believe all the best fighters are out injured at the moment and have been for so long! - Is it killing you as much as me with wait?

For a while now I've been like, what's going on? Where is Cain Velasquez, Rashad Evans, Anderson Silva and Jon Jones etc I know they're all injured but its taking forever for them all to come back and I cant wait to see them all fight again!!

Also I really hope GSP comes back too. Do you reckon he should come back or stay retired?

And I think the top fighters need to start fighting more often, like every 3-6 months, it sucks to to have to wait 9-12 months. - Do you agree?

And what do you guys reckon about Anderson Silva, do you think he will do any good when he returns? It would be legend if he really does return and beats everyone and regains the title, that would be amazing for the history books.

Also I was so excited for the Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier fight too, its a shame though they acted the way they did in that press conference. - Do you guys reckon that was staged?

Again, sorry for woffling on, but like I said at the start, I dont have anyone else to talk UFC with, so thought I'd make conversation with some of you guys that know more then me about this sport. I've only been watching 4 years or something.:D

Anderson is returning to fight Nick Diaz in January(assuming Diaz stays out of jail/trouble). As long as weidman is around silva will never be champ again :p it'll be money fights from now on for him.

GSP won't be back anytime soon, not until there is more independent/ out of competition testing and tbh The way he was treated by dana after that Hendricks fight I wouldn't be back.

Jon Jones is a clown, Ofc it was staged :p

How awesome was Cats throws in her match. Lethal. She seems a bit rusty could do with a fight or two before the title fight.

Shame we didn't get to see DC Vs Jones but was a very entertaining card all the same.

Glad Mcgregor won, I find his whole front hilarious, and he backs up what he says. Poirier is a legit fighter, so to win in that fashion was pretty impressive.

Don't see anyone getting close to Mighty Mouse anytime soon ... his speed is unreal.

Awesome night of fights. Glad Cerrone won, Mcgregor and as mentioned there's no one that will beat Mighty mouse for a while I want a John Dodson v Mighty Mouse.

Best UFC event for a while, McGregor stole the show, I don't usually like cocky fighters but he backs up what he says and oozes confidence and charisma.

Agreed! She looked awesome, especially to come back from the beating she took in the first round! Definitely needs some more fights before Rousey though - she's got the power but a) looked very one-dimensional in her striking coming forwards and b) Rousey is a whole different animal on the mat - I doubt she'll be able to control her like she did Nunes!

Wasn't overly impressed with McGregor since 2 or 3 of his strikes hit the back of Poirier's head (not that it was his fault, just the downside of striking a moving target!) but regardless would have liked to have seen this one go a couple of rounds to see what McGregor has in his locker against a top-10 guy!

Fight of the night for me was Kennedy vs Romero - what a war! Great gamesmanship from Romero's camp to give him those extra few seconds as he was out at the end of the 2nd!!! So glad Kennedy got beat though - his win over Bisping was the most boring fight I've ever seen!!
