Some good fights on what looked to be a bit of an underwhelming fight night. Very entertaining. I do think it helps when there's no 15 minute women's fights on these Fight Night Cards.

Very much looking forward to next weekends though.

I thought Tsarukyan edged it in terms of being the aggressor and those big body kicks but the judges went with the facial damage and him getting taken down a few times (even though none of it really came to much of anything). Both should be given higher ranked opponents next though, lightweight could do with more movement and fights.
 
Can’t believe I’ve just seen MVP is fighting Perry in bare knuckle championships, risky fight for MVP his levers are great but his strengths are his also using his legs and Perry will come to get close and bang and boxing/bare knuckle suits that.
 
Just watched weigh in / face off highlights. Can not wait. Mrs will be out for the day too so double bonus. Only 3 fights on prelim and main card though which is a bit of a swizz. Should move the early prelim fights up to fill the gaps as they are only available here currently through subscribing to the Fightpass app. PPV price should be reduced, wont be though :rolleyes:

Izzy is so much taller than Cannonier. Cant see it going any different to him absolutely piecing him up from the outside. I don't think anyone can beat him at that weight, the man is a supreme athlete.
Strickland is a bad MF. I think he'll get it done. Would think the winner is clearly next for Izzy, who he'll dispatch no doubt. Not sure what is after that for him if so.

I usually want Aussies to do well in sport, except for tennis and cricket obviously, but to me (armchair expert with zero credentials :cool:) I think Volk clearly won both previous fights against Max and think he'll win the third. I think then we have same issue as Izzy, he's cleaned out the division. Not sure either fighter would want to move up, I don't think Volk beats the top guys in 155. Be good to see him try though!

Also crazy that Miller and Cowboy have 70 pro wins between them. What a tough way to make a living man.
 
Looking forward to it. I can't see Cannonier getting close to Adesanya to bother him really. Here's hoping Holloway can beat Volkanovski, should be a great fight. Volkanovski is superb to watch.

Plus: Robbie Lawler, Alex Pereira, Sean O'Malley and the small matter of Jim Miller vs. Donald Cerrone. Awesome.
 
All I want is for Season Strickland to get his dumb motherloving head pounded into the ground. I want him to get smashed and preferably KO'd in as brutal a fashion as possible. Yes, I do not like that man.

I hope Cannonier can get some good shots in but I do expect Adesanys to get the win. Same principle with Volk and Max. I certainly wouldn't mind if Sean O' Malley got taught a lesson in humility either!

It's going to be a great card and I have my alarm set for 3:40am to give me time to wake up and get a coffee. :D
 
Ughhh I hate different time zones and had a rotten sleep... but definitely feeling pumped for this!

Oh man...

Sucks to have it stopped by an eye poke, such an anti-climactic and disappointing start to the card. :(

Bwahahahaha my dream came true, Strickland schlepped early in the first round, he looked like an amateur compared to Pereira, he just walked forward without doing anything! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, good times. :D

The two main events...

Very nice fight but oh my was Volk LEVELS above Max, he completely ouclassed him. There is no need for any more rematches, Volks superiority is fully confirmed over the rest of the division.

Oh man this was a dull fight. I cannot for the life of me understand how Cannonier can just coast like that when he has got his big title shot. He hardly used his physicality other than to pin Israel largely ineffectively against the side of the octagon and in the last couple of rounds he should have just gone hell for leather and taken his chances and got wild. I don't see why Dana would give him another shot after that lacklustre performance which was a complete contrast to how he talked in the build-up.

Not the worst card, but far from the best. I hope Robbie Lawler gets the bonus.
 
Underwhelming and predictable card. I think it’s safe to say if anyone is going to take the belts off Volk or Izzy (and Usman) at this point it’s not going to be any of their own generation or people they’ve already fought (same goes for Leon Edwards upcoming fight).

I was hoping Strickland would last longer and take more damage but one left hook was all it took.

Yes, my only regret with that fight is that Strickland did not take higher levels of damage. However, he will certainly suffer a huge reputational hit and will likely be keeping his disgusting shut for a while.

I've never liked his fights.

I think because he's unorthodox opponents struggle to deal with him.

I noticed that WWE's Vince, Stephanie and Triple H were in attendance at the event. Some have said thats why Izzy came out to The Undertaker's music, and I think Jessica-Rose Clark came out to Shawn Michaels music.
