Some good fights yesterday. Was hoping for an Allen win too but Max definitely out Maxed him. Good win, good to watch but he takes some hits. What happens to that division when Volk beats Rodriguez? Give Max a 4th shot?

If Yair loses then I hope Volk moves up, vacates the belt and lets the Featherweight division reset. However, I doubt he will give up those sweet PPV points and legacy.

I wonder if Holloway could go down to Bantamweight or if the cut would be too much for him.

I severely doubt max is ever making BW, his only option is up.
 
After seeing Max fight Poirier at 155lbs I don't think it's a good move for him - although if he has longer term plans for 155lbs he may aim to put on size.

Could you imagine how handily Islam would ragdoll Max right now?
 
Pavlovich is an absolute destroyer. He has the most powerful, fast and yet accurate strikes I have yet seen in the UFC. Ngannou may have had the power, but he couldn't blitz in such a relentless and devastating fashion like Pavlovich. Fedor v2.

I can't wait for him to fight Gane and maybe even Aspinall. I'm not sure if Jon Jones may retire after the Stipe money fight but that would also be a hell of a matchup. Basically we need to see someone who can make it through a round without folding.

I definitely do not want Russia holding the belt!

Wasn't aware of that. Shame really. I don't know what people think he has to prove now. Maybe beat Sugar Sean? Perhaps people are salty at him after the DQ when he got absolutely belted in the side of the head by someones knee and they think he should have carried on??

Was a poor card this weekend for a PPV. I've said it loads on here but for me the Fight Nights are on ESPN and included as part of my standard satellite sports package, numbered UFCs aren't as they are standalone payment on another channel. $69 which is about 35 quid these days.
I like to buy the PPVs and watch them live at midday on a sunday to fill a sporting hole at the weekend, costs me less than what it would going to the pub for it, but man the appeal is just going down every month. Had no interest in this one, or the last. Just saw the line up for UFC 289 there and its arguably the worst one I have ever seen. Pena is out of the trilogy but I still wouldn't have bought it if she wasn't. Next weekends card is way more appealing and its a free one with added bonus of Mackenzie Dern who is just sensational. Voting with my wallet! :D
