Good night of fights that with some great finishes. Got to feel that LHW division is so open, there doesn't seem to be a dominant performer currently.
The Smith vs Walker fight was pretty lame. Walker said that he "purposefully" didn't finish Smith and let it go to 3 rounds, but that was either a terrible decision or a BS excuse. Smith is delusional about his fighting ability and I can't wait until he is out of the Top 15.

The Smith Walker fight was horrendous, if walker threw a couple more calf kicks Smith would have buckled, but he didnt have the sense of urgency, maybe a bit scared of pushing for a finish to then get finished.
I do agree that Smith has already outstayed his welcome in the higher ranks, Walker at one point managed a takedown from literally just pushing Smith towards the fence, I genuinely dont think I have seen anything that embarrassing in quite a while, last time I can think of is R Bader showing he was petrified of Rumble.
LHW is garbage and the sooner Jiri is back, the better.

An excuse I would say. You absolutely can not chance leaving it to the judges in that game if you can help it. Its kind of what IO was trying to say, there is no stand out performer in that division. I think it will be a long time before we are seeing anyone defend the belt back to back.
I like the look of Ulberg, very early days for him though.

Bit of UFC news from last day or two. After some upcoming nonsense UFC's, 290 on July 9th is looking stacked. Volk V Rodriguez and Whittaker V Du Plessis. Presuming Whittaker is fit enough to take the bout (which I have doubts over) then I think he'll win, UFC have announced winner will face Adesanya in Sydney 9 weeks later in September.
Some pretty good Aussie / Kiwi fighters coming up. Will be a shame in Volk doesn't fight on the card too.

291 has an unreal card with Poirier V Gaethje for the BMF belt. 292 Sterling V Sean O'Malley in August

Surprisingly good card at the weekend.

Torres elbow KO was brutal

Tsarukyan v Silva was a good competitive fight.

Vettori is the Terminator, without the offense :D

Decent card yesterday. Josh Emmet, like loads of others is just too tough for his own good. I normally skip through the women's fights but the Macee Barber fight was probably the pick of the card for me, been a long time since I've seen a chicks fight that good.

Came here to say the same.

Maycee Barber fight was ace, best women's fight in ages.

Topuria just outclassed Emmett, I think he'd give Volk a good scrap. Didn't see much of his ground game but what there was seemed pretty solid. Boxing is definitely top class.

Topuria looked very good but he wasn't really tested. I think for the sake of that division he has to fight Volk next. Not many other fights make much sense. I'm presuming he beats Rodriguez in a fortnight and I think he beats Topuria too. He's just too good, best fighter in the UFC for me. I'm guessing that fight would be October / November of this year by which time Volkanovski will be 35. Don't know where he goes after that, another crack at Makhachev?

I can’t see it going ahead But agree, even if it does it’s a terrible match up for him. Add to that it’s a catch weight so no cut for Chandler. I think even the Connor that showed up against Kabib and Dustin would be toast.
Been trying to get into ultimate fighter but every season is the same for me. I start then rapidly lose interest.

I’ve watched it but this season is tripe the idea of Vets vs prospects is a terrible idea. You might get one or two top prospects that will have a chance against a vet. Currently it’s looking rough.
