Indeed. I fast forwarded through most of them. Looked like Strickland was going to be in trouble after that first round but then once he hurt him second round the contest was basically over. He looked good from that point although admittedly against an opponent that was waiting to be beaten. I think its time they fed him to Adesanya :D. May as well. He's pretty much beaten everyone else in the top ten, some of them twice. I think it would be a fun fight.

Tremendous card next week though. :)

It's faintly amazing how effective Strickland is, just shuffles forward jabbing until he senses an opening and tries to finish.

Got quite a chin to be fair, but I can't see him bothering Adesanya or Pereira for long. Middleweight is pretty weak outside those two.

Next week is stacked though, pretty good names in the prelims too.
 
disgusting tirade from Izzy..... Really poor look for him and UFC. Utterly uncalled for and just horrible/uncomfortable to watch.

Otherwise - some great fights.

Pantoja v Moreno - Great 5 rounds, back and forth - close fight - could have easily been scored the other way. That will get run back for sure.

Volk - What can you say - Guy is unreal.... Very tough fight and went out there and dominated - No real contenders at 145lbs so I suspect back up to 155lb for another fight for him after his surgery.

Bo Nickal with another good win
 
Was just pure racist hate from Izzy. There isn’t really any other way to dress that up. No doubt he’ll get a pass on it though I can only imagine the outrage if DDP spoke like that!
He’s not stupid, part of me thinks Izzy may well have planned it to bait him into a similar response so he can racially supercharge the bout, fight is only 9 weeks away. He did well to keep his head given the circumstances and the adrenaline after such a big win.
 
Last weeks card looked forgettable. Some decent fights on the card this weekend coming up though. I really hope Aspinall is fully fit and makes a successful comeback. I think he'll take a win via KO if so. I really like Davey Grant being a local lad so hope he gets it done, shame he's dropped to the prelims. Rest of it is a bit whatever but hard to complain when sandwiched between 290 and 291. Next weeks is insane.
