Me and my brother should be going, we've got some tickets through somebody we know and have to collect them at the venue.

Very excited as we've always wanted to go, it's going to be a long night though. Probably not going to drink as it's at such a weird time that we'd probably sober up mid way through and feel rubbish, or at least spend a fortune trying to keep going.

Enjoy!

What time is it on there? I've been a few times but only in Melbourne where the first fight on the main card starts midday, early prelims start around 7am. (that's why I watch so much of it, perfect thing to do on a Sunday early afternoon). Drinking that time of day is passable although there are a load of jumpy jacks knocking about with their tap-out and venum gear on scanning for people looking at them funny so just stay alert. There will be fights in the crowd at the end, absolutely guarantee it.
Will be a banger though, more so being in England. Atmosphere when Aspinal gets in the cage will be unreal.
I was at this and it was electric inside the arena in that first round. Loudest sporting event I've ever been to.

Paddy and Tom both looked great!

I do wonder whether the Tom/Curtis was stopped a little early, based on the immediate protest and Curtis never going out. It was a very dominant position for Tom and rough spot for Curtis however, so granted difficult to know whether Curtis would ever have got back to his feet or just continued eating leather.

Yeah agree. Have to think though what options Curtis had when he has a 250 kg athlete on his back, how does it get better for him without a stoppage?

Not Paddy's biggest fan but very good finish.

Tom looks a monster and whilst the stoppage looked a little early, Curtis didn't even try to defend the shots - his hands were down on the mat the whole time.

Main event was very boring.... Belal obviously had the game plan to just drag him down, tie him up and it work well for him..... Not a champion that excites that's for sure....

Looked like Edwards plan was to conserve energy and let Belal tire himself out wrestling.....but not so great when Belal's cardio is famously top-tier. Wasn't miles off a finish at the end. Bit tedious.

Aspinall too good, on the replay though you can see he's not really connecting and Blades is still with it, but the optics weren't good after been put on your ass.

I like Paddy, I mean he's a bit of a bell, but he's an entertainer, and his submission game is insane. I think he could get a belt, not gonna hold onto it for long, but he's well capable of finishing anyone.

My feelings match @booyaka and @mid_gen really. I enjoyed the card overall, other than Leon's fight, which was a very disappointing performance from him. He's started slowly a few times and got away with it but wasn't the right game plan for this opponent.

Still absolutely ruined from the weekend, I got called out for work the night before unexpectedly and didn't end up finishing until 4:30am, then a full day with no sleep into going over and watching this all night. There was next to no traffic which was a god send so the drive home was very quick.

The seats we got given were pretty mental:

Very much enjoyed the whole experience, it was far more action packed than boxing events that I've been to, just really smooth with little time wasted waiting around. Only about 6 mass brawls too .

It felt like the card was building momentum as we went through the night, Molly got a good response, she just seems a bit too limited to deal with the opposition in her last few fights though and was lucky in the first round. Rodrigues I've no idea how he makes middleweight, he looks massive, easily looked as big as the heavyweights. Paddy is where it really jumped up a notch, we'd started to go off him a bit but there's no denying he's a good entertainer and he made that look pretty straight forward.

Aspinall is just a beast, it's heavyweight so anything could go wrong in an instant but he just keeps looking more and more like the real deal, you'd struggle to pick anybody in the rankings against him at this point. I would really like to see the Jones fight happen, I honestly don't think there's much to lose for him. If he wins the argument with him being the GOAT just shifts even more in his favour and he can ride off into the sunset, if he loses then he's got the excuse of being at the end of his career, out of his normal weight class against a younger, more natural heavyweight on a demolition run who also has the potential to be one of the heavyweight greats in the future.

Leon fight was a bit of a bummer, the atmosphere just dropped as soon as you saw how it was going to pan out. He was never really in control, looked to be constantly on the back foot in the stand up and the moment his back hit the cage he just stood there as an easy target for the takedowns. Belal very much the deserving winner, he just looked a lot stronger in there.

Never been a fan of Tony on a personal level, but he's had a hell of a career with the UFC and in his prime was an incredibly fun fighter to watch - mad to think he went from 25-3 to 25-11 and being finished in 5 of those 8 straight losses, definitely time for him to call it a day.

Tony Ferguson - PLEASE call it a day....

8th straight loss last night.... It appears he's retired as he left his glove in the octagon....

Someone just needs to stop this man from fighting again.

Amazing production - some place to have an event....

Dana said it cost $20 million to host/produce.

Not sure how I feel about main event - Great to see "sugar" getting totally dominated.... Had ZERO offence - but on the other side - just another lay and pray artist as champion now.

Another average set of fights.....

At first I thought it looked silly and odd, but its only when they went full 3d hologram screen you got to see just how immense the whole thing was.

Good card, but let down as you say with the lay n work little on top new ufc champs which uncle dana will be thrilled to have on his roster:cry:

13 million views and that's just from myself
13,000,001 now. :D . Shes the best looking athlete in female sport imo, even with the wonky nose she got last year.

Anyway.. Decided last minuet not to bother with yesterdays PPV. Rode my bike and did some jobs round the house instead. Pleased I did after reading some reports. Feels like the titles are going to be changing hands regular in the lower weight classes for the foreseeable.
Just looking down the pipeline and there isn't much to get excited about until 308 at end of October which looks a banger. Card for 309 was confirmed at the weekend too which also looks wicked.

With not being able to stay up/ always finding out the main fight result.

Combined with the main fight being exactly as you say and so many champions like this now. It's just boring.

Struggle to get excited for the fights now.
