**The Official Everything MMA Related Thread**

yeah but the mma community has a bad name, people associate them as being stupid meatheads and thugs.

that red neck on the ultimate fighter who went crazy in a hotel after getting into the final is a clear example of this.

also the drunk guy wearing an affliction t shirt heckling joe rogan, etc.

dana white has been trying for years to establish mma as being the exact opposite, he has actually done so much to improve its image.

those videos are plain stupid, what did you learn? we already know he can punch and kick hard he is a world champion. you just let him hit you, that is plain stupid, even the guy watching is making fun of you in the video. why didnt you try grappling with him? that would have been much more fun and a learning experience, being used as a punch bag is plain stupid.

anyone who is a true mma fan will be disappointed that you uploaded this onto youtube. im going to post it on an mma forum and im sure the responses will be similar to mine.

Lmao Overeem actually looked like he found it funny? Yes he could have done some grappling with him but what are you really going to learn grappling with someone thats double your weight. Or you could take a punch/kick from one of the best MMA fighters in the world to see what it feels like. And also get a funny video.

Go post it on the forum and all the "true MMA" fans can all comment and laugh, but really how many of these true fans have been to seminars with fighters or even been to a UFC event.

He has meat heads, millions of them, they turn out to live events and purchase tap out shirts and UFC clothing.

Nerds don't order PPV's often either and purchase obscure Japanese mma stuff.

He knows his money making audience

Hurf summed up the meat head situation pretty well. Without the meat heads UFC wouldn't be as big as it is now and you have thugs in every sport, its just a fact of life...

Go on then, post it on Sherdog where it has already been posted & people loved it.

It was a seminar, we had 60 minutes of instruction followed by a 15-20 minute Q&A then Overeem stayed around to talk a bit more and take some pictures.

It's no different than meeting your favorite singer and wanting to do a quick video singing with them, no difference at all.
If you don't like it then don't watch it. Overeem loved it and so did my friend (Pete, the guy that got punched) and I (The guy that got leg-kicked)

He obviously knew we were filming as he talked to the camera and gave a thumbs-up at the end. The guy was a real class act.

I remembered we are dealing with a man who tried to feed a carrot to a bus.

Looks like uncertain future ahead for who will be airing UFC events in the UK now Zuffa have signed a deal starting in November with FOX. Especially after Dana tweeting this:

"ESPN always hated us and now they hate us more now that we are on FOX. They canceled my int next week for UFC Rio *** ESPN"

*** being the shortened version of the F bomb.

There's going to be a big change in how UFC events are presented, with Dana White saying that the intros, music, graphics are all going to be changed.

A nice long and in depth interview with Fox executives and Lorenzo Fertitta, Dana White, about the start of there seven year collaboration starting in November. Some great innovative ideas and plans about involving the viewers picking the match ups on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter, all live fights as well and thats just the tip of the iceberg on whats to come !

I've been getting a little bored of UFC and mma lately. For every decent fight I seem to watch I have to sit through 3-4 average/boring fights.
Yeh, I've started to notice more wrestling going on; lay and pray with the occasional punch. It has been part of UFC/MMA for many years but it is becoming much more common.
