***The Official Fifa 10 Thread***

Skills are done by pressing LT and then using the right stick for moves, skilled dribbling is done by holding LT and RT and moving. This is on 360.
 
Never knew of this skilled dribbling! Will have to try it, not sure on what buttons I use mind, I use New Alternative then swap RB and LT round.
 
Aye alternative is the daddy. It's so funny when my mates come round and we have a FIFA tourny, every one has the controls different! I have about 5 custom configurations on my PS3 :p
 
Yeah Andy, you will use (on your config) RB + RT to do skilled dribble

You can use it to good effect on the edge of the box to win freekicks consistently against the cpu

You can just tap the skilled dribble combo together when a defender is coming in for the challenge and just slide past him and leave him for dead, use it with messi you'll see how good it is with faster players :D

Del Piero is also another fav of mine for doing it with.

I am liking the demo, got it for the ps3 and to be honest prefer it over fifa09 by a fair bit. It no longer feels like your playing with a flyaway kids football, shots are more powerfull, crosses are whipped in like they should be and the dribbling is excellent.

Feels exactly like what you're saying it doesn't to me.
 
Getting a bit fed up with this, so many fouls just by pressing the damn A button, really annoying. That should never be a foul, how can i be pressing A button right or wrong? Just seems like the game 'deciding' that the A.I. should have a freekick now.

Also one of the most annoying 'bugs' from 09 is still there, most of the time when you press pass it will decide to do a through ball instead of playing it to the players feet. EA, if I want to do a through ball, I will press the ******* through ball button.

I've had fouls given against me without pressing any tackle or pressure buttons and the AI running into me. :rolleyes:
 
Yep had them as well, just feels like the game is going to be very stop-start if a 3 min demo has this many fouls. The system is fine it just needs toning down :(
 
had a bit more practice.

Ok keepers have you noticed you cant scam them no more ;) e.g. intercept their goal kick as they just move back.

Also im glad to see keepers arent making unnecessary dives to concede corners for shots that are never going in.

I think shooting is a bit harder. Low finese shooting is easier but higher placed shooting is tricky. I did manage to score a beauty with Messi though

havent tried this "skilled dribbling" thing yet. Usually a quick turn or soon as you see the defender rushing in quickly jab the ball ahead of you and the defender concedes the freekick. Ive hit the bar about 10 times with freekicks not scored yet :(

One thing that might become a concern. Through passes AI are deadly now - combined with players staying onside better. Much easier to create goalscoring opportunities. I think through passes will be whored a bit more so thats great news for me :D

Havent seen someone shoot with the outside of their foot yet (finese) maybe im not looking hard enough.
