I haven't had any of my players use their outside of the boot but the AI scored a goal against me using theirs.

Maybe EA toned it down a bit, it isn't used that much in real life.

Passing its used quite a bit.

when in-game, if you go to team management.. he's rated 85 or something. probably just a glitch on the team selection page?
 
Shami, try using the skilled dribble + A for pressuring when not in posession of the ball, your player will stand off and try and time his pressure tackle.

Give it a try, youll conceade less freekicks ;D

Not sure but in FIFA 09 have you noticed that before the match the players are at their default overalls, but during the game if you pull the screen up your players overall ratings can go up or down depending on how they play. Goalkeepers tend to get a lower overall if they aren't doing anything.

I have to say I love the way that the ref actually tries to GTF out of the way of the ball this year. I've lost several goals because the ref has gifted possession to the opposition on the edge of my box in FIFA 09. I haven't really seen much evidence of the 360 dribbling though, is there a button you need to hold to be able to properly do it? The players seem to turn fairly similar to 09 to me, although I have only played 2 or 3 matches so I may not have noticed.
 
Just tried skilled dribbling and it's pretty realistic when jinking between defenders and useful for cutting inside. Still missing far too many golden opportunities.

Just been playing a few more games of this and the ref still sometimes fails to get out of the way, at which point Martin Tyler usually says something like " The ball has hit the referee but the play is allowed to continue". I have also just noticed how much more fluid the all direction feature has made the game. Plays like something not too distant to what you would watch on a Saturday afternoon. :)

Use a player like Messi to really see how this makes the game so, so much better. He is unstoppable cutting in from the left now.

Lampard is hilariously good at freekicks, a mate has a 100% record of scoring them against me on this demo now :o
 
Has anyone noticed that when you use the right stick to knock the ball in front of you, it slows you down loads so the defender can get it easily? It's not the same as 09 where you could tap it and get away from someone whilst carrying on your pace to get to the ball first.

Kind of annoying me.
