***The Official Fifa 10 Thread***

Is there a game option that allows you to have say 4 people playing FIFA 10 via Xbox Live (1 person per console, different location) all on the same team? I've tried mode that is similar to be a pro but you need at least one person on the other team... What I want is like an exhibition match with the ability to have everyone on the same side, playing the CPU. Is this possible?

Wow struggling on 'Pro' getting it handed to me. Can't score, can't pass and can't get a decent cross in. Will take some getting used to from 09, especially the lack of rapid crisp passing.

I'm gonna get sacked at this rate :D

Almost a season done of manager mode. I know this game is much better in MP but my god the SP is crap. I don't see it as anything other than a step back from 09 in that regard.

The game is loaded with decent features, feature wise this game is mega. The VP is a good addition, the depth of features is amazing.

Then the games start. Too many button combinations to do the simple moves. Its till to hard to get round players and avoid getting robbed of the ball because someone half runs into you.

You can have a player maxed out for pace gain a yard on a defender and he manages to get infront of you. Reverse that and your maxed out defender starts to get left behind by a player with the ball who isn't as fast.

The shooting is worse than last year. Corners are rubbish, its hardly worth taking one. I could score off about 1 in 5 in 09 with some decent players. I have great players in the air but none seem to be able to head the ball. Finese shooting is better but if I hit the post one more time the disc is going through a grater. :D

They have built a great game for features but seem to have forgotten to make a fun game of football. (Again, I'm talking SP)

Totally agree with you mate, for all the features 10 has it feels soulless and thats both SP & MP. It has crossed my mind to trade this in......

Yeah I will keep it for the odd game online. I've just noticed I've not scored from a single cross either. I'm forever working it out wide crossing it in for a header that ends up in the stands of a defender to clear.

My goals are either coming from running a forward into a defender nudging the ball and running it at goal or LB and Y and ball over the top.

I've scored from one corner in god knows how many games and haven't scored a single cross yet either.

Agreed again on the type of goals I'm scoring they are either chipping the keeper or budging defenders off the ball in the box and side footing home.

Weirdly I was playing on pro but stupidly started with everton in Manager mode so my Virtual Pro would take years to get going. I was top of the league but not getting any joy with the virtual pro as his stats where so bad.

I dropped it down a skill level to see how he would get on and have been struggling to score at all :D

I started at Man City but didn't enjoy it(read got sacked), I'm now up to the Premiership and in my 4th season with Crewe. I'm scoring a wide variety of goals as well, I think the single player is excellent :)

Fifa 10 was my first Fifa and this is the thing which stuck out like a sore thumb to me, yes you can do all sorts of fancy side steps and drag backs and the animations are superb, but given that you have to mess about with a mind numbing combination of buttons and sticks, whilst trying not to lose he ball, does anyone seriously actually try to do ANY of these moves in an actual game? The most I found myself doing was slow dribbling with L2, but forget about using the right stick to do side steps, the defenders simply nick the ball off you if you try, and the L2R2+right stick moves, no chance. You end up concentrating more on remember the correct sequence of button presses than you do on watching the opposing players. Against a human opponent the skill moves seem utterly redundant.

Yeah I think that's what I should have done. I got to top of the league and then didn't make the cup semi so they almost sacked me :D Seriously what board would sack a manager top of the league who gets knocked out the Fa cup :D

Thats exactly how I see it. I think one on ones with a defender are far too hard. I used to like how much easier it was on evo if you timed a movement against a tackle to ride it.

I just want a game as fun to play as Evo 6 was.

Got this the other day. Started a Manager Mode with Boro who are seriously seriously crap!

Think i'm playing on Pro difficulty which was recommended from Fifa 09.

Can't score at all. All the shots in the last game which would have went in, don't. Normally one on one with the keeper on a slight angle and you bury it into the far corner but I haven't scored a single one yet. The keeper either saves it or it hits the post. Same as when I try and place it around the keeper.

The only way I can score is if I lob the keeper, or run down the wing and then towards the goal, drag the keeper out and then pass it to a player on the back post who taps it in.

However, despite it's difficulty I'm really enjoying it :)

I just left my pro in the area and started getting dressed, I could hear the 360 beeping and have come in and my pro is automatically gaining accomplishments? Its taken about 10 minutes of leaving the 360 but I can see in the dimmed screen he's racking them up against the keeper :D

Boro are crap? I started as Accrington Stanley and in my first season I could only afford 19players (if i remember correctly) meaning that 2 of them never got a rest and my substitute goal keeper found himself playing in CM quite often.

After 2 seasons, and being promoted to the championship, my weekly wage budget is up to £27k a week. My team has got a hell of a lot better but I still find it hard to sign players. All but one of my team came from the scout who I upgraded to lvl10.

The only saving grace on my team is my Virtual Pro as he quickly became a lot better. He does seemed to have plateaued a bit, currently overall rating is 81. Thinking I may have to vary his position to unlock other items on his list.

I managed to score my first headed cross the other day. After about 50 matches against CPU and players.

It bugs me in 2 player how the vast majority of people will only play as the Sky 4 or the Spanish 2. Probably because all their forwards are so unrealistically fast and make 99% of their tackles. Through ball is ridiculously easy to score from when the strikers from these teams are so much faster than defenders.

I like this game for online with friends and the real teams and decent sound. But for game play its at least a year and probably more behind Pro Evo 6 on the PS2
