I have to admit, that Mattyk80 was bossing the front line last night dropping deep and playing the one/two we won a 2 in a row and just missed out on 3 in a row from a lucky goal they scored to make it 1-1, mattyk80 and Trance upfront is the way to go they have a connection like Dwight York and Andy Cole,..

Sounds like you have through ball assist on in the option trust me turn it off may take a little getting used to but 10000s times better.

I had no idea this was possible! Cheers, but if i do this no ones allowed to tell me off for failed through balls for a few games while i get the hang of it :p :D
 
Did anyone save my goal replay from last night? someone mentioned it on mumble but i forgot to ask at the end of the game
 
Right. I've just bought the game and am downloading it through Origin now. 9GB. Wow. Hopefully I'll be able to play tonight. Are people going to play tonight?
 
Had a surprisingly good mumble turnout over the past few nights, had 10 out of 11 players on last night, wasn't expecting to get anything like that :D thought we'd end up with like 5-6 people on or something..... it's nice having everyone on that way it's easier for me to air my own disappointment at my mistakes before anyone else has a go at me :p

EDIT: noticed i'm in the top 3 goalscorers for our team at the moment w00t
 
Well played as Gk last night, didnt too too bad with no defence. :P

One thing I have to say about our play is a lot of you guys seem to want to run with the ball instead of passing. (or taking 10 mins to keep twising and tuning at the corner flag before crossing it)

There was a number of times where someone would pick the ball up in our half and run down the wing with another player already up there... Now not only does it take FAR longer to run with the ball than pass it it also uses up all your stamina.

You did a really good job between the sticks :D

In my defence I'm one of the ones doing a lot of crosses and i'm always trying to get in crossing positions but i aim to get it on to my VPs better foot hence the occasional switching back, or sometimes it's nessacary in order for the ball not to just hit the defender.

My complaint would be that that people try to run it into the box from crossing positions too damn often or hesitate for too long before playing the cross, Just get it in there! I love playing the LW position in 4-3-3s so if people don't mind could i make that my position to focus on? One match last night i had a peach of a game making all the right moves etc. (albeit the game after i ****ed up completely :D) so i think I'd quite like to get good at that position

Im totally up for this, was a regular on Fifa 11 PC team play, but only after 12am UK time usually, which will be the case for this too. Very experienced player here and i am fairly skilled at every position apart from goalkeeper. My playing style is a fast passing game.
