The Official FIFA 12 Club(11v11)

I'm in and will happily play any position. (I'm hilariously bad at goalie though :p)

Origin = Purdy8TV
Steam= Purdy8

Add me if you just want to play a game now and then.
Do you guys use mumble for the club games?

So, I can't get this game until Friday. How is playing together working out? What are some results so far?

I found it very frustrating and had to leave. There was no leadership or organization. I was suggesting ways to make things better and it was just ignored. Durring my time we managed to win 1 game due to the other team leaving. was either draws or losses.

We was playing 442 and the entire midfeild was just getting forward leaving us very short at the back when we lost the ball. I suggested we played with a dm it was ignored. I suggested we played with wingers maybe a 433 as most of our goals seem to come from wing play and crosses again it was ignored

I would get the ball and there would be no one to pass to so i would hold on to it and no one would make a run or support me and i would end up losing it.

We had cams and sts playing at cb, we even had a cam playing as a gk at one point no one said a word.

It was very hard to build any sort of understanding cause every one was swaping postion every game. I played a game at cb with mendozza and we did well we let a goal in which was unlucky but we seemed to do well together i think we drew that game 1-1. Next game some one else played cb and we was all over the place and we let 3 or 4 goals in.

I understand people had just got the game and some people had never played clubs before but the impression i got is we had some good players that had played clubs before. And from what i saw we did have some good players but there was no leadership or organization as i said.

I understand the club is a commuinty club and not so serious but for me the fun comes from playing together and well as a team and i just couldnt see that happening with the way the club is.

I'd agree with DooMeR about swapping position every game being unhelpful. I think we would all get in tune much quicker if we were sticking to defined roles. I'd be happy to focus my pro towards playing as a CDM I think your right that this is an area that is needed. Its early days though so I understand that guys wanna try positions out at this stage hopefully we tighten up as we progress.

Last night we had a full 11 man squad so great turn out!

Some observations last night. In our first game with all 11 of us playing, it was a mess. most of us where all out of positions and at first i thought i was playing in a random 11v11 match :(

I was a RCB for example and many times my other LCB playing alongside me was all over the place not staying in left center of the pitch but instead staying right next to me! As a result there was many times we tripped and bumped over each other lol. And our full backs? diddnt see them at all in the first half as they kept bombing forward :(

Our midfielders too kept bombing forward and diddnt keep shape in the midfield at all :( 2nd half we did improve a bit as i messaged some folks to stay in position and my fellow CB partner stayed in position well and in line for us so at least people are realizing their mistakes and willing to improve upon it.

Our GK was a guy called Zero(his origin name) he was sensational. fantastic Goalie and easily our number one GK IMO. he was immense and made some amazing saves where i think not even the GK AI could have achieve. Zero made fantastic decision making runs to shut out many 1v1 opportunities that happened and i think he only made one or two mistakes which led to a goal but overall he was awesome. Well played.

Here is another thing i noticed last night especially during the last few games we played. Why do people keep passing the ball up the air and using the through ball pass all the time? We need to pass it on the floor lads. 9/10 u do a high through ball it gets intercepted. you hardly see the likes of Barcelona play many high balls. we need to keep the ball on the floor most times and in order to do that we need players to make inteligent runs to get into space.

Which leads me to another thing. We NEED to use MICS. no ifs or buts. we need to try and use them. We need to make use of either teamspeak, mumble or skype. The fifa voice comms are not up to the job lads so lets see if we can organise a teamspeak server. maybe all join the ocuk or AVF one and ask the admin/owner of that server to create a separate FIFA 12 channel for us.

Even if you cant use your mic, at least you can still join in and listen to vital communications from other players. This will help us improve our game by ten folds.

other then that lets keep at it. we will get better. we all need to gel and using mics will help us play more efficiently.

Yeah, I suppose it's ok to experiment at this early stage to see where you are good. Maybe each player can end up with 2 or 3 positions they can play in.

We could do set positions but hands up who would want to stick to just playing as a defender or a goal keeper for the foreseeable future?

This is the issue we need to find a solution too. Like someone suggested we could say for example SoAdCrAzY can play CM or CB. but that defeats the logic of sticking to one position though. SoAdCrAzY will have to only play as a CB or a CM.

The issue is this, How come me and doom and a few others can play CB, CM, CF and just about anywhere on the picth fine and stay in positions fine?

If i can personally come in and play any role in the pitch and still do a decent job, why cant others do the same?

If we could all just jump into any positions and play that role properly we wouldn't have any problems right?

my VP is not even a defender yet when i played CB last night i got man of the match. When i was partnered with doom we both where immense. Point? If you understand football well enough then you know what each role does in the field and as long as u stick with that role you have done you part.

I truly believe if we get mics up and running we would be a better side as at least i or others can shout at anyone out of position.

I feel bad saying this as i'm not exactly fantastic at it myself but hopefully it comes across as constructive criticism and not being mean, but when defending we were getting a bit destroyed by passing it around at the back last night, i know i made a few mistakes of my own when i was defending (note to self: short passes from free kicks = bad idea :D) but on a few occasions we would have had a better chance if people used B rather than X or A if you're in a sticky situation, that does a quick clearance of the ball and just gets it the hell away from our goal :) - advice based on an xbox controller layout

Oh and zero you were an awesome goalie!

I both agree and disagree with changing positions around, i like playing in different places now and then, i'd get bored if i played one set position all the time but at the same time we need some balance.

I truly believe if we get mics up and running we would be a better side as at least i or others can shout at anyone out of position.

Hoping to get approval to use defrag aka delboys mumble for the fifa club :) if he says we can i'll pass the details on here

Cool thanks. all we need is a 10-15 slot channel and where good to go.

Anyways, due to lots of us being new to clubs. lets try the practise mode. The captain can start a practise session by selecting it from when where in the dressing room menu.

Lets do this whenever their is a large umber of us on. worth practicing passing and postioning and movement for like 5-10mins before starting a proper club match.

Also our default formation will be 442 diamond formation. i agree with dooms formation as it will contain a dedicated DM as well as a Attacking midfielder. this forces the two center mids to stick to a specific role instead of both clueless and bombing forward leaving no support for the back four :(

Ok guys, mumble server:
Label: Bronken Mumble
Address: 85.236.100.59
Port: 18462
Username: <your username here>

In there defrag aka delboy has kindly made us a FIFA12 channel to use, if we want any sub folders we can do too :)

Also if we want a forum section where we can create multiple threads etc rather than using this single thread on ocuk that can be arranged too on http://www.bronken-gaming.net, if people would find that useful anyway :)

I'll be on tonight for practice/games. Many others able to make it on later?

Side note do you think its quicker to level your pro offline or online?

i put my VP in my career mode team and did all of the arena achievements. That seemed to improve him quite quickly.

Then last night playing in a couple of club games in defence and midfield got me a few more achievements, that's got me close to an 80 rating already!

Good idea about the practice mode.Perhaps we should do this a few minutes before every game with the desired formation and the positions that people will be playing in the match.

It's certainly taking me a while to get used to controlling my player and some of my passing and positioning is terrible. I really don't like the tempo of the game, it's all kick and rush. That team who thumped us 5-1 last night was just pure kick and rush. And we played into their hands by continually giving the ball away. I like the mode though, but I do need to improve quite a bit.

We will all get better as times moves on, sorry to see doomer has left as the more better players and leaders, the better obviously for everyone else.

Personally 4-3-3 is the way to got, but my biggest opinion firstly is we need to improve our positioning, passing and slowing the tempo down before we continue as there is no point until we get the basics correct to start with.

At the end of the day it is about having fun. But at the same time you don't want to be wasting your time - if you know what I mean.

On top of the mumble channel, not sure if this interests you lot but it might make things easier than posting everything in a single thread if we want to arrange times for matches etc......http://www.bronken-gaming.net sign up, fifa 12 section is for us if we wish to use it :)

Everyone on there is from ocuk by the way, if you're going to be playing battlefield 3 then you can also get details on joining our server from there too ;)

EDIT: quick note to say the server hosting the bronken forums is having issues this morning so if it doesnt load via that link or you get an error try again a few minutes later, seems to have been since the BT problem yesterday.

I was at LCB for the 5-1 and kept getting caught for pace, apologies to all involved for that game. I was ****ed off when the game started as well - I am absolutely certain I picked RB yet was placed at LCB by the game. Not saying I'm great at RB but at least it isn't quite as critical as being a central defender.

Not great on the tackling front at the moment but I'll just need to practice. Tried switching my controls fro jockeying and cover around during the 5-1 but the game wasn't listening.

I'm personally not a great fan of the standard 4-4-2 although a diamond midfield will help and I'll play whatever is chosen.

My preference would probably be 4-3-2-1.

If we're voting for formations i'd go with 4-1-2-1-2 :D

I'l try and convince DooMeR to come back and give it a go. i think its unfair to give up after a few days play Imo. most are new o this game mode and we should give people a chance to get use to this game mode.

@DooMeR if your reading this please reconsider. You and i played just as bad when we first ever play clubs mode in consoles So we should give these guys benefit of the doubt.

Once were all in mumble we should play a bit better. i also like the idea of doing a mini practice session for 5mins before each game to get people going and warmed up.
