it wont help online when the game is released though :( so i advise not too, just get used to it, practice, it will be the same in years to come in fifa i pressume anyway, so youll have to get used to it if you play online.

Switching the controls around is allowed in online games though isn't it, you just won't be able to turn off the tactical defending. I have to use custom controls and it's always been fine in online games before...

ah ok, i assumed he ment switching tactical defending off, what controls would you change for it to be similar to fifa11?

Really not enjoying the tactical defending so far, so I've turned it off. Well done to EA for giving me the option. I'll probably stick it on when I get the full game, but for now I just want to get used to playing it without sucking hugely at defending.

Having tactical defending on (or off..) also changes the computer AI supposedly back to Fifa 11 style AI. Meaning you get less time on the ball compared to if you have it on, making it less tactical.

I'll have to have a good play tonight to see how big a difference it makes. I only had one demo game with it off, and to be honest found it much more enjoyable than with tactical defending on. I was still finding it much harder to score goals than in previous Fifa games, which was fun. I just hated the fact that I would concede pretty much at least one goal every game through missing a tackle because the AI would use it's pyschic powers to somehow avoid my tackles (or I'd just miss by a mile and give them an easy chance). I'm sure there's a skill to it, and I'm sure I'll get much better at it, but for now I'm happy using the old style defending :)

I was at a Fifa tournament 3 years ago or so at the NEC in Birmingham. Back then I was really good at Fifa, I got through my qualifying stages and was the only person to not lose a game, I beat one guy 13-0 I think it was and beat the guy who came 2nd or 3rd at the WCG for Fifa that year ( or the year before really can't remember the details ) So I was flying high, I got to the quarter finals, not dropping a match (think by this time I'd played 6 games and maybe only had 2 goals scored against me) And we got in to the next match, this time it was being filmed and possibly broadcasted on TV, I choked. I lost 3-1 against a guy who was I wouldn't say rubbish he was a good player but not as good as me. After that I gave up Fifa and my hope of becoming a "Pro" player as I choked under the pressure.

Exactly my thoughts, it's an average game at best.

Haha, I look forward to seeing you win FIWC 2012, we've not had a UK champion since 2005!

lol ;)

These big games between top players will always be tight, there is very little space to pull anything special off because they're so good defensively.

If you want to see a good open game with lots of goals, why not challenge one of them to a game :p

Maybe it is because they cancelled each other out, but neither of them looked that good tbh. I certainly wouldn't be afraid of playing either of them, and I don't think I'm that great a player.

The big games are rarely good to watch because they do cancel each other out - it's a shame because all the other eSport finals are all great to watch!

Video from the FIFA Final at i43 a few weeks back : http://www.fileplay.net/channels/iseries/i43/14536/i43-the-razer-fifa-11-final-adamw-vs-ty

It's a bit long as it's a best of 3 but Ty is pretty good to watch, he's obsessed with abusing the skillmoves :D

2:50 ish, anyone wanna tell me how to do that skill move with Villa? Would be mighty helpful for those of us who like to cut in.

How did I miss this FIFA Interactive thing? A couple of noobs playing and win $20k? LOL. They're crap. I could beat them with my eyes shut. Geez.

How do you get into this thing? Just spam like a no lifer with ranked matches until you get an invite?
