I've had a 1:1 or better ratio over 40-50 games with strikers before, never managed that with a defender though :-/

What tactics are you using for corners, where does this guy attack from?

That is crazy, that guy damn near single handily won you the league
 
Sounds like that 'attack keeper' bug. Usually multiplied by the fact your player has amazing jumping and heading stats. Theres a thread somewhere on the official forum about setting up the rest of the players in the box too.

I tried it out one season with Breno and he got about 30-40 goals. Its crazy!

Im in 2025/2026 now and I've done everything really. Might start again with some random low level team in the league below the conference, although I'm never great at adjusting my tactics around poorer players.

Still haven't managed to win a competition with a national side yet. Got to Quarters in the Euros with Holland but thats about it really.
 
i have not altered any settings, he just scores from corners all the time, i see no point in cheating on games like this. The only 'cheat' i have done is add myself as a player :)

Agree with this. There is a corner bug, actually there are two that I am aware of floating around the SI Games forums, and the defender doesn't need to have decent stats to make one of them work either. A guy posted a screenie with a defender with 1 heading and 1 jumping yet still hit nearly 20 goals in a season.

Interesting to know what tactic your using Jimlad?

Disclaimer. I make it perfectly clear at this point that I am not accusing Jimlad of cheating in any way.
 
i'm back home now and only play at work, but will post the tactic, but it's one i found on this forum if i recall, it's floating around here and has been posted on this thread a few time, it's a croat formation
 
My defenders always score from corners, never had that many goals a season though 1 did finish top scorer with around 30!

Both sides corners are set to hit 6 yard box. Think the 2 centre backs are just attacking 6 yard box too - one of them might be attacking near post, will check when I get home.
 
Season over, faced stiff challenge from Roma this year but still managed to take the title. Rooney had an excellent first season for Roma, part of the reason they pushed it so much this year. New record for number of assists by one player for me:

Finally my 09/10 season came to a stressful end, with the 'Mighty Ducks' securing promotion to League 2 via the play-offs. :D We won the Setanta Shield and managed to push Millwall to a fourth round replay in the FA cup. My league performance was fast and loose, to put it mildly, with 135 goals scored, but 79 given away. Sadly Rochdale were too much of a challenge, which worries me when our next season begins... I hope my chairman doesn't mind splashing the cash on some defenders, and a proper goalie over the next few weeks.

Elsewhere Man Utd (on their fifth manager), to my surprise finished 4th and won the FA cup. Liverpool just won the Premiership, with Chelsea and Man City pushing them close, and Spurs spent 32 million quid on a player that's played just four times this season. :D

We shall now see how England fairs in the World Cup. :)
 
42 assists? Does he take the corners and freekicks as well? Only 3 league goals though? Does he start to shake when he considers shooting? :p
 
he takes corners, not free kicks though. Weirdly in previous seasons he was my super sub who scored lots of goals from the bench, not sure what happened this season.
 
Thats a guy im thinking of signing as a youngster in my game.

Started a new one (laptop broke, got backups but yeah) as Fulham again, going quite well already.

Star players are Nevland, Jimenez, Leonardo (best buy for me so far in FM at £500k from Ajax), and Claudio Bravo.

Nevland scored 15 in 13 so far, Jimenez has scored 7-8 long range too.

Lying 7th after 15-16 games which isnt too bad.

Got 9-10 youngsters coming in January and July who all look very good prospects, now ive seen that shot, may sign him too!

Considering hes young (and how much he is, not sure yet) can rotate him and Jimenez then! Will get a screenie of the people im signing, few of them look good.

Needed a leftback so signed Joe Mattock (i think thats his name) from Leicster.
