Hmm I think there is a bug in FM08 for the international game points system. Anyone stupid enough to manage Italy instead of England loses 33 points on a random date. SI don't seem to care about fixing this particular bug! :p

England job was'nt availible :p
Excuses! :p

Sorted some packs now, well just kits and logos. Don't need facebacks really.

Starting a game with Darlington, any recommendations on free transfers??
I also don't bother with facepacks. I just turn them off in game as the pics take up too much space I think plus I don't want to know how ugly my players are. :p

Plus, and this will sound quite sad/geeky, but I don't like facepacks because not all the pics will be in the same style. Some are portrait like in a passport photo and other are full body pics of a player on a pitch! Keep it consistent PLEASE! :o

I only use the one from sortitsi, and they are all (that I have seen so far, at least) portrait style; usually good quality as well.

Hmm sometimes. I try to do well with Man Utd and dominate so after 2-3 seasons when its harder to win everything at a canter I kind of get bored with it a bit. :o

A mate of mine regularly has games going to the 2020s.

Ah ok, I'l leave it till the new patch comes out with the new update.

Im getting a little bored, but with the chance of winning the World Cup, im staying on as Italy manager. Then its back to the premiership me thinks or another international club as thats who I can only manage :(

EDIT: Nov 2012 here and counting :D

I've never had long as an international manager so I'd like to do that. I've managed England before but not for long.

Do you only manage one team at a time then? So either a club manager or a country manager? I've juggled being Man Utd and England manager before. :D Is quite cool having games all the time. The international games make the normal quiet periods in the season for a club manager bearable and erm the club games make the international management fun as well. :p

I used to have to wait until either a Euro or World Cup to end and for those countries that performed badly but shouldn't, such as England/Germany/France/Italy/Holland etc to sack their managers and my reputation as Man Utd coach in the 2-3 years in the game before the tournament means I either get offered a nice international job or I can apply and get accepted. :)

Yeah, I do have one club going at once with one manager. Italy are my 3rd team.

First I started off with Man Utd. Managed them for 2 seasons, practically won everything I could and built up a strong team. I resigned.

Then I got offered the Spurs job, I declined it. Went 8 months or so without a job untill Arsenal and Liverpool were without managers because of poor seasons. I applied for both and ended up with the Liverpool job. Was only manager for a couple of months and thought it was like the Man Utd job, the same old thing. Keeping a top club at the top of the league.

I resigned from that, the Italy job came up half way through the qualifiers for Euro 2012. I took the job and won the Euro's. Not Ive just started the World Cup 2014 qualifiers. Hopefully I will have a good World Cup. May stay on, who knows.

Probs go back to the Premiership though instead of another International job. Ive been looking at Arsenal atm. They are 16th with 17 games played. They are doing terrible. That job might become availible. Then its a choice, shot at the World Cup or take Arsenal up to the top again. Either one would be some task. I'l see how things pan out.
