Yeah. I think it can be overridden if I have a file for it. I can't find it either so its definitely hardcoded into the game.

I hope I can find a way to override it. It is a similar premise to the graphics, simply forcing the game to use external files.
 
I just found how fun the FM editor is hehe. I;ve added AFC wimbledon to league 2 (im playing MK dons) and ive started a media war. rofl cant wait till the first game we play

Yes. I must have scouted him and the fans heard about it. I think there were other news items that were more definite about the fans wanting him but this is the best one I can find.

well ticking along nicely in la liga actually 2nd after 16 games ! however i am woefully short of players.

example: last game aginst Getafe i played with only 3 subs due to injuries etc :(

anyway trying to do a bit of business in prep for next season as a uefa cup sport will do for this season imho.

Brought in Joaquin from valencia for £10mill plus Diego Forlan and have a number of players ready to pounce for as soon as the bosman ruling takes effect however am struggling massively to find decent CM players in order to take the club on. Alsi in need of strikers as other than Aguero and Welliton the others cannot hit a barn door with a shovel.

so lots to do and only a £20mill budget to do it in :(

You need AMC, MC or MC?

Strikers can be Afonso Alves..Obafemi Martins..Jo..Vagner Love..Luca Toni..Amauri..Bianchi (seems to be v good in this game), Asamoah Gyan.
 
Right so whilst you guys are blowing you millions on superstars, I've been battling! Just as an update, I won in the League One playoff final against Preston 3-0 and am now getting ready for a season in the Championship. Can see this being a very tough division to get out of.

Still not spent a penny in transfer fees! :p

/EDIT - Seems my board are prepared to throw in the dosh now!!! Expanding my stadium by 1679 seats.... Taking capacity up to around 6000..... This will take 5 months and mean part of my south stand is closed. Just what I need, ticket sales being reduced :(

The board reduced the capacity by a fair bit meaning I was losing money every month until the expansion was complete. Even the increased gate receipts after the expansion failed to sort out the lost money. The TV money and prize money sorted that though. :p

Went from 76k to 92k. Just got another one taking me to 100K. :D

I need an MC and a DMC, problem is Atletico are not the best team so my adssistant rules out quite al lot of the top guys.

I also started in season 2008-09 as i holidayed the first seaosn so top buys have already been bought as it were.


I am tring to sing Biglica I think his name is and fernandes for the MC positions but it doesnt leave a lot left over for a striker.

Biglia is good, Lorik Cana is excellent if he's still available, along with Makoun, Banega. For MC id say arouca, mads laudrup, adrien from sporting.

Albert Zapater (can't remember who he plays for originally) always seems very consistent and great average rating. Also has a low minimum fee release clause iirc! I don't think he's that high profile to be ruled out.

Been tempted to play as Sutton Utd, as they are **** :p. Last time i did it, it took till 2010 or something (in fm06) to get to League Two.
 
Nice to see some other Llamas here in the management of the lower league teams, i am with Kettering and now in League 2 for the 2nd time in 5 seasons. Had a decent start to the season and sitting 6th but having a run of draw after draw or a defeat here and there. Still i want to be top end of table at end of season anything else is a bonus.

Goddamn this game ic becoming infuriating :p its not the winning or the position im in as im crrently 2nd in la liga with 20 games gone, its not really the scroing bug thing as my tactic seems to do ok and not suffer from that, what it is is signing players !

for example Miglaccio from Palermo decent player can play a myriad of positions fso thought i'll have him he is better than what I've got in most areas and he can play anywhere whiuch is an added bonus.

So I bid for him £10m it goes to then Fiorentina come in with a £10.5mill bid and a 1 mill rated player, That is accepted yet they want £18mill in cash from me ?

I negotiate to £13 mill and think balls to that im not paying anymore ! but this has happened on a number of occasions now which is annoying to say the least.

Anyway couple of new additions
Shechenko £350k
Pienaar £950k
Ashley Young Loan for remainder of season.

Problem is they were like my 8th choices but because of the luck im having in the market were all i could get :(
 
the 2 reasons im doing well though are these





both playing superbly however the same cannot be said for my other strikers although hopefully Shevchenko will change that :)
