***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

Be a man! put it back to RWD!

A sleeper should be in its standard drivetrain ;)

Haha, I tried to, but I wanted it to be properly competitive for A-class and it just wasn't stable no matter how much tuning I did, the IS-F engine has ridiculous torque when its standard, I'll stick with actually being able to put the power down. :D

Besides, I'm fighting the good fight against the S5 boys.

I'll let you off this once, but don't let it happen again! ;)

LiamC; I'd be up for that, too! :D

Can anyone give me some good drift tips? Only just tried it and I just fail miserably :/

I struggle to actually get the back end out enough, and when I do I just can't hold it, it either spins or just corrects itself :p

If anyone is interested, go and get your votes in now on the todays 3 sets of DLC choices from Jalopnik

Group 4
Group 5
Group 6

Some superb choices in there, Pug 205 Gti and 205T16..

Even a Vectra GSi!

I would love to see the 205 GTI non CAT in there with its cracking exhaust sound, but I'm not sure it's going to happen since similar cars in the first three groups mostly haven't even made it into the top 10.

I couldn't get to grips with it either and as you found the steering assist doesn't help. If you can't get the back out try a team blackjack tune. No rear grip whatsoever :p

A classic 80's/90's hatch DLC would be fantastic but the appeal would be so narrow its never going to happen sadly. Shame as bar the MK1/2 Golf GTI there is nothing else. 205GTI, Renault 19 16v, Astra GSI, Fiesta RS Turbo, Clio Williams etc etc. I suppose the other problem is getting hold of a decent version of each to scan for the game.

Anyone ever google the fastest speeding record fact stated in Forza 3?. Interesting and funny.

During its review of the CCR's successor, the CCX, BBC television program Top Gear reported that the Koenigsegg CCR holds the fastest speeding ticket in the United States allegedly occured in May 2003 in Texas. It was supposedly 242mph (389 km/h) in a 75mph zone. The car was involved in the San Francisco to Miami Gumball 3000 Rally.

The driver Arthur Chirkinian was arrested and the car towed. His co-driver paid his bail and they retrieved the car from impound. While trying to catch up to the other gumballers the driver noticed smoke from the engine and his oil pressure was low. He pulled over to find his Oil cap had gone "missing" while it was impounded. Arthur Chirkinian hitched a ride to the local Volkswagen dealership where he purchased a brand new Volkswagen beetle and drove it to where his CCR was parked. He filled the CCR back up with oil and took the oil cap off the Beetle and put in on the CCR as that is the only oil cap that would fit his car. He then took off in hopes of catching everyone else, leaving a brand new Beetle on the side of the road with the doors unlocked and the key still in it . He caught up to the pack later that night in New Orleans.

I hope the 1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III registers somewhere. It's a muscle car without the bloat even the wheel is on the right side. What's not to like?

As promised my micro-rocketship S class Aveo. Supprisingly nimble at partial throttle but the rear end is extremely lively at speed. I tend to shy away from the Forza rear wings as the look ghastly and spoil the "sleeper" element so its my own doing :D Bugatti Veyron? pffff!

Very nice, you'll have to share that tune ;)

Just tried something similar with a Fiesta, only the RS2000 engine had a very aggressive turbo made it hard to control, FWD with no aero had the wheels spinning at 220mph at the top of 6th at about 9K rpm! :D

Don't think I'll be entering that in anything online :p

It's not too bad if you 4WD it. Even with Race underpinnings it still corners a bit like a wayward shopping trolley (ie nowhere near the RS200), but it's awesome around something short like Tsukuba.
