I hope it's sorted out by way of a patch. I hate the forced intro to races would much rather a zoom upto your car then time to rev your engine yourself etc etc.

I thought it was a private company unaffected by the strikes and thus only way to guarantee delivery on release. I've just had to place two separate orders.

Edit; Are Parcel Force part of Royal Mail and/or are they affected by the ******* striking layabouts?

Browsing round numerous forums shows its a widely hated "feature." Im certainly not keen on it. Not just for the fact you lose the chance to get your revs right but I personally feel its a feature that doesnt fit into the Forza series if that makes any sense. Need For Speed maybe but not Forza. On a brighter note not long left now! Cancelled my online pre-order for the LCE and went into one of those Bob Holness shops and pre-ordered for a 3rd time :D cant argue for £45, yes its more expensive than there online price but atleast im guaranteed a copy on release day.

I don't mind the little countdown intro actually, gives you a nice look round the car in it's on track setting, and I'm a sucker for eye candy anyway.

God only knows why they didn't make it skippable though.

It wouldnt be so bad if they dropped the silly revving and left it as a fly-by of the car and then gave you abit more time between the end of the fly-by and the start of the race to judge you revs. Would be spot on.

Demo just makes me smile.

Loving the MS wheel, great being able to feel the car's traction, or lack of...
 
Anybody faster using the MS wheel compared with the pad?

I seem to be consistently 0.5s behind my best time when using the wheel compared with pad. The weird thing is that it feels like I am driving better with the wheel; particularly nailing the right lines through corners. I am also more consistent with the wheel and make fewer errors. Just can't seem to fathom out where I am losing time c/w the pad.

I drive with all aids off apart from braking lines.

Best time with Evo with pad 1.11.9
Best time with Evo with wheel 1.12.4
 
Just a heads up,

I've preordered the game with another well known games company and as a special incentive due to the potential Royal Mail strikes they are offering the special express delivery for £2.95 instead of £4.95.

Its guaranteed to be delivered before 1pm.

I found the same thing when I first started using a wheel with GTR for the PC. I found I was being too gentle on the throttle when exiting a corner - the lack of TC scared me :)

After a few hours and some leadfoot I'm sure you'll be well passed your pad times.
