I found my sound issue to be localised to BeyondPod alone. It crackles and pops when playing. Spotify and YouTube sound fine.

Any other BeyondPod users that can let me know if there's does the same?

Also... if I happen to have a friend that 'tried' an app through a 3rd party installation, but that likes the app and would like to give the company their money, but the market already says 'purchased'. When my friend presses 'update' it says it's not been bought...

Clearing market data, uninstalling with TB... says the same thing. Any ideas?

whAt sort of deal have people got these with on vodafone ?

I got:
18 months
900mins
Unlimited txts
500mb data
£99 phone

£36 +20% discount = £30/month.

They've changed what they offer now though i think, as new contracts, like mine, arnt anywhere near as good as that...

That's what the Nexus range is about. Did know one tell you?

I'm rather disappointed these are the only two so far, but I guess the Americans are having trouble getting hold of it as of yet.

Not for me. The Nexus range is about having a pure version of Android that you don't have to butcher and mess about with.

Why do you need a ROM, what is it lacking? What are you going to gain of significance?

no you stick roms on the other android phones that get loaded up with bloatware and apps that u cant remove with out root access. no need on this you have the rom that others want!

No. Apparently YOU stick ROM's on other phones that get loaded up with bloatware. :p I stick ROM's on because I can. Tweaked, improved, overclocked, undervolted, themed. :)

you go for it mate, i know what they do been mucking around with them since android 1.6, but done with that for now, i would often find the bugs they all had at most inconsiderate times, like the sat nav or gps now working when i was lost.

Exactly this! I can see why people might want to put a new ROM on the S2 with its annoying touchwiz interface or a HTC device with sense, but why would you want to change pure ICS

2 things getting on my thruppenny bits:

1. I keep looking at top of screen of notification light.
2. I keep holding my phone upside down and pressing the bloody volume button to turn screen on :p

I have already answered this question. Scroll up a little.

As big an Android fan as I am, I've never really understood people saying they want the 'pure Android experience'. Until 3.0, I've always found the stock apps pretty ugly... I've always used Go SMS, or a customer dialer etc.

Yes, ICS looks much nicer, but Android is all about having it the way you want it, why would you want to tell me I can't do that and I should enjoy it the way I'm told? You guys realise you sound very much like Steve Jobs?

I would love a black themed ICS for example. Any different colour for that matter. I like to change things regularly :)

What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say.

There is an absolutely massive difference between customisation and putting a ROM on a phone. Android by it's very nature is fully customisable, ROMs are another story entirely.

Everyone is praising ICS saying it's brilliant and finally what Google needed, if you've said something like that yet you've put a custom ROM on your phone, you're a liar.
