Getting more and more issues with mine

Its started working slower than my htc desire,im using launcher pro and change through home screens is really slow, loads of apps arent working. Next time i get a new phone i will definitly be getting an old OS, begining to miss 2.2 where everyhting wotked

Fact that i loose connection but still have signL on both wifi and 2g is also annoying

Strange had mine over 2 weeks now and its as fast as it was when I took it out the box, no lag issues of any sort no loss of signal for me, can't say I have come across any problems as yet, love ICS its the only Android for me that I don't need to use a custom launcher hate 2.2 now couldn't go back.

Same for me, I'm amazed al4x is blaming ICS and not thinking that maybe a third party app/launcher is to blame

as far as i'm aware none of the launchers have been updated or optimized to run on ics, dunno why anyone would change from the default one just yet.

Im not as such blaming ics, i know its not a fault with the os, more saying i miss everything working.

The signal thing is not an app issue. Sometimes the blue wifi/mobile signal goes grey but there are bars there, usually on waking the phone, another thing i find odd is how long maps takes to load, does ics require more data?
Kind of wish the default browser had proper tabbed browsing and a refresh button.

My fav part of the phone is how it screens off like an old tv, camera app and camera much beter than desire. As is the battery.

Totally ignore The Gadget Show, it's embarrassing.

The camera quality is slightly worse than the S2, but it takes the pictures faster, meaning you can capture pictures more easily when out and about.

That's largely to do with the software too though by the looks of it, I would not expect the ICS camera app update for the S2 to be any slower. Apart from the screen, the S2 is technically the better phone.

The screen and the massively better software, yes. Both are a pretty huge deal though.

This is my official stance on the Nexus against the S II -

I can't speak for everyone, but the reason I'm getting one is as follows -

Unmodified ICS that I don't have to wait for and future updates are very quick (not that I'm massively bothered about the latter)
I really don't like TouchWiz and think it makes the software feel cheap and nasty personally, while functionally it's fairly good
I really like the soap bar design of it over the other Samsung designs
I like the notification LED which is often a bizarre omission on Samsung devices
The screen fixes my main gripes about AMOLED panels and is quite possibly the most important feature of the device for me; I'm not a big fan of the S II screen
The SD card slot omission is stupid but I can live with it
The internals, while out of date, are still very quick and it doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference to real world performance, which is ultimately all that matters (short term)
The camera seems simply 'good', but I don't take that many pictures, same for video
I'll no doubt change it for a Galaxy S III/iPhone 5 in a few months so long-term doesn't concern me

I don't think that is particularly unreasonable. Is it a must have upgrade over a Galaxy S II? Absolutely not. Is it justifiable? Absolutely.

Exactly. Add the panorama and time-lapse features and you have a winner.

Since Android 4.0 brings a unified approach to Android across handsets I would be very surprised if the camera app and software are any different to the Nexus in general. Yes Touchwhiz will feature but that's just a launcher.

AdamG has already tweeted about how amazing ICS is on the SII for one.

It will most likely boil down to there being very little difference between GN and SII once ICS is out for the SII. The only major difference being the screen and the SII having expandable storage.
