***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

I worked out why it was doing it.

I found that if i had been having a text conversation and left the messaging screen open when the phone locked itself then the LED would blink. unlocking and going back into the messaging screen would stop it. Its as if it blinks because it doesnt know if you have actually read the text beacuse you were already on the screen

hands up if anyone understood any of that.

You can set it up within Light flow, how notifications should be cleared. I've mine set to "screen on".

On default I think its set to "App entered". So even if you clear the notification, it will still keeping blinking until your enter the app.

Can't find that setting. But that would help

Well still on 4.0.1 here on orange purchased 3 days after release any way to force the update OTA dont really want to do a manual install and then reinstall everything and set the phone up again

Mines coming tomorrow, so excited! Got through to O2 retentions and was offered £30 one off fee, £21.50 a month for 24 months for 200mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data with unlimited public WiFi. Cant wait :D

Running 4.0.3 icy 4+

Love it :D

Battery life is further improved i might add, whether that's the custom rom or google's improvements i couldn't say.

@JimLad

I think it still matters but as our GNex smartphones are 3G enabled, not 4G (now in use in US on Vodafone and on some ATT locations), assume you will be asking for 3G card firstly. Second, we are on GSM and Vodafone and Sprint run a CDMA 3G network. So guess you will look to T Mobile US and ATT based on their 3G networks. I expect to travel to Canada next month but GSM is common there and would expect the SIM card from say Rogers to be fine.

On an earlier discussion we all enjoyed some pages back, did anyone notice that Corning has delivered Gorilla Glass 2.0 which is supposed to be even tougher to break and is even thinner. So I expect we will be seeing even thinner smartphones and tablets in the near future. Next up: foldable smartphones and tablets that convert to the classic wristwatch! Also I notice off topic that Sprint will be getting the GNex in a few months (after the Verizon exclusive expires) and it will also run 4G and pack 32 gb data.
