Fair play. But clearly he says it's made no difference if he's signed in or out, so it's something that's gone wrong with his device rather than a Gtalk issue I believe.

There is an option where it uploads the pictures you take automatically... at a reduced quality I think!
Could that be enabled?
Still using stock. I don't have a reason to change.

Right, by using the betterbatterystats app it seems to point me to my exchange email draining the battery, it seems to pretty much constantly be connecting.
I've changed the delivery method on the device from push to check every hour (which to be honest is enough). Phones been off charge since 7:45 this morning, used it for probably around 30 mins with phone calls and a few texts. It would normally have been down to 50% by time, its currently on 84%

Can this handset be used as a wifi hotspot out of the box?

It certainly has the ability too but it can depend on your network if your charged or not.

WiFi Display sounds interesting as long as there will be adapters for old tv's etc..

I have a AT&T sim in mine while im in America and the phone has been brilliant. Used all day for maps and web

What speeds are you getting? Their sales assistant told me I would only have 2G if I used their sim, although I don't think he really knew what he was talking about...

Is it proper exchange mail, or an IMAP account? For even better battery,pipe it through Gmail...

Considering the speeds we have from providers like Orange and T Mobile over here, that doesn't give much indication

Got the nexus today at first couldnt get contacts onto sim from blasted iphone! Synced it via itunes onto new google account then started up the nexus and bham sorted!
Screen is amazing and so is true multitasking! Thought app screen swiping might be a tad smoother but overall its a great smart phone
