sounds about right. google need to enforce that. after all if you buy a laptop full of bloatware you can do what i do and format out the box and have stock windows. however this is not currently an option. All android phones should be able to run a stock version if they so desire. It really pees me off and the reason why i switched to the Nexus. It's not so much the launchers as you can circumnavigate them, its all the uninstallable apps they load on. Why should i have to root my phone and then spend ages using apps to remove all the crud i don't want or will ever use. grrrrrrrr

Google aren't making all the phones so they don't really care at all. They just care for sales and volume.

Touchwiz will be fine on ICS because you can uninstall the apps easily and no doubt someone will make a AOSP theme!

You can't uninstall easy. u need to root and then work your way through a list and not all services and programs can be easierly stopped or identified due to the butchering

Samsung are not the people for improving decent software, they do the opposite. :p

Really?

Many people have copied their notification toggles in the notifications area
Their people and contact apps have had some features copied into their ICS equivalents
Launcher 2 app tray is similar to the Touchwiz one
You could say other apps were inspired from Touchwiz ones too, such as the camera and calculator

Hopefully they tone down their included apps though, but then again its Samsung and they have lots of various other markets and interests. Thankfully, Google have their own phone for people who don't like Samsung!

GSIII will have a new version of touchwiz. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the touchwiz we see on ICS GSII. Perfomance / features are great but it just looks so awful.

HTC Sense 4.0 actually looks quite good IMO. It's very understated and refined. The issue with sense has always been poor performance, if they can fix that with 4.0 they will be onto a winner.

I like Samsung. I don't like their 'artistic flair'.
