friend of mine had similar symptoms...ended up with sensation XL
that's like having a small fault with a Porch and then instead of getting it fixed you trade it for a for Renault
so why when its all grey no network app works...lets say engadget or any other app that requires internet...as for txt's its not always that they dont arrive...

Grey network icons mean it's not connected to Google services, yes, but certainly in bastic's case it sounds like the phone has become completely disconnected from the internet.
I've experienced this before a few times and so has a friend with the same phone. I think it's a software bug, but it may have something to do with the router as well.

As for router...it happens not only at home.
At work where we use AP's . And as few people experience same, it has to be a bug but one that not many people experienced (?) Strange ...

make sure you buy a carry case to go with it
first I would need to go through painful return procedure... I send it to O2, they say its fine, I send it to them ,they send it back ;D

Will have to report nexus as faulty to o2....they will take it for repair...will end up in 'updating' firmware
issue will be back...will give it to them again...

My brother went from his 3GS to the Nexus but he really cant get a long with android so hes offered to sell it to me for £250. I've got an HTC desire at the moment which is almost out of contract so I'm tempted to pick this up. General consensus yay or nay? Anything equivalent for the money?
Bargain, as long as it's a Galaxy Nexus and not a Nexus S, otherwise he's ripping you off.

No its definitely the Galaxy Nexus, i've not really been keeping up with phones of late so been doing a bit of reading this afternoon, think I'll snap it up off him and get my self onto a sim only deal.

Indeed. Turn off the display saves lots of battery. I would say 1 and 1/4 day for normal use. Not bad at all!
