***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

I mean the phone far left of the 4. I know it's not a lot bigger than the gs2, that's my point, the gs2 is the absolute max i'd go in terms on size.

D

Much better camera than my desire, and better battery life, ie a day!

You won't get more than a days usage out of the nexus imo.

nexus is huge :/ not keen on the roundness of it either. defo prefer the look of the gs2.

Yeah it's a big phone, but considering it's got a 4.65" screen, NFC and is only 1.2mm taller, 1.7mm wider and 0.4mm thicker it shouldn't be much different to the SGS2.

Also the roundness of it should help, the SGS2 is more square in comparison which makes it feel bigger than it is as it can catch in your pockets.

Still, I'll handle one in person before I buy.

Are all these delays simply down to carrier and retailer exclusivity?

They need to **** off, seriously

This has cropped up this morning:

"The level of interest and anticipation surrounding the release of the Galaxy Nexus has been fantastic," said Simon Stanford, head of mobile at Samsung UK.

"We're delighted to introduce the Galaxy Nexus to the UK and are looking forward to seeing it in the shops on 17th of November."

Apparently heading to "a range of UK retailers" including Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone, O2 and Three, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus UK pricing will be around £45 a month on contract deals or around £549 SIM-free

£45 a month, nobody is going to be buying it from networks directly then :o

Surely that is the price point for a free phone? There's bound to be better deals available if you're paying partially for the handset, plus the Nexus S was over priced at release (and for quite a while afterwards), I assume Samsung will be more interested in what they can do for the GS3 which must surely be announced at MWC end of Feb?

My brother just ordered an iP4s for £38/month, free handset, with T-mobile. I can't help but think that the Gnex has to be priced just below the iP4s, otherwise the general public will just ignore it and go for the iPhone.
