People are angry waiting an extra day, yeah, lets wait another 5 months...

One thing that strikes you is how silky smooth ICS is... amazingly smooth.

Just waiting for my unboxing video to process on YouTube, which seems to be taking forever.

My co-writer from Hemorrdroids was about 6th in the queue (in his usual white baseball hat if you see pics) but they would only give him the phone on a £41pm 24 month contract, which he wasn't prepared to accept.

Someone a few pages back is on a £41pm AND paid for the phone?!!??! wtf?!?! Clearly they are bumping the price up to counter the friends and family discount. Rather cheeky...

Nothing is daft if you have enough cash. Because you can just buy something else whenever it takes your fancy. Unfortunately i don't have enough cash to have that sort of attitude so i make my upgrade choices more carefully. Simple really.

That was probably me. It was free phone on 24 months but I chose to go with 18 months, 2 years was far too long.

Not sure if I will use all the 1GB of data though. Im barely hitting 500mb on my iPhone 3GS but we'll see over the first month and then I'll downgrade and save afew more pennies on my contract.

With my TCO being £666, and going by a retail price of £500 for the phone my contract works out at £9.22 a month.

Was a good deal in my eyes. Wouldn't have gone for it though if I didn't have the 30% discount, would have been far too dear.

The screen is much better than the GS 2 largely due to the resolution and also isn't the ppi much better, 10 less than the 4s iirc?

And of course to echo what robbo said.


And damn those pics look amazing!

So where are all the people that were pretty much slating the camera for "only being 5MP" and assuming quality was going to be bad :p

Will hopefully get one of these next month as that is when I can upgrade I think.

Just popped into a P4U in Norwich to see if they had any. No luck, but they did try and sell me one for tomorrow....I didn't want to go too far above the £25/month I'm on now so the sales lady came back with the following:

18 month contract, £26/month, 400min, Unltd Text, 250Mb data and £444 for the handset! I almost fell off the chair. She couldn't even bring herself to say the price she and had to write it down and show me.
The next best offer was £41/month over 24months and £150 for the handset and I'd get 750Mb data. ridiculous.

I can't believe two of the largest global corporations couldn't get a few handsets out to each retailer on their launch day.
 
edit: oops, thought you meant £444 for the entire deal, I thought that was amazing

I'm going to wait before I start prodding Robbo in the face about this one. I think it was Robbo anyway that I told I thought this camera would be better than the SGSII and he didn't believe me. Well, actually I said 'top 5 on the market' I think?
