*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

From what I'm reading, Chrome Mobile won't support flash. Also, Firefox for Android only supports Flash for phones (so not tablets like the Nexus)?

Thought that they were working on a tablet optimized version?

What are the chances that this will get a HDMI dock?

Very low imo. I think that they want to push the nexus Q is the reason for no hdmi, just as I think no sd was partly due to them wanting to push google play cloud thingy.

Thanks for that, didnt realise they would take hardware payment in the Store ( havnt used Droid for nearly a year now).

Ordered, do they verify the card at time of order?, ive had problem in teh past with my bank doing that security thing and not allowing the order to process.

Hovering on buy but just wondering if anyone has heard anything with regards to either the OTG adaptor or HML?

Update: We received some bogus information on the MHL. We've now confirmed that the Nexus 7 does not support MHL, meaning there's no way to connect this over HDMI to get video output.

Thanks. :(

Not so much fussed about HDMI as i am USB which seems it does support.
See update on Anand;
Update: I've had many emails and questions about whether USB-OTG (On The Go) is supported on the Nexus 7, and didn't touch on it when I originally hit publish becuause I wasn't entirely sure. I've now confirmed that USB-OTG is supported on the Nexus 7, and works on the current Android 4.1 non-final build that has been sampled. That's encouraging, and I'll test it myself when I get home and to my miniUSB OTG adapter.

Will order anyway and if it does then great! if not then i can live with streaming! :D

There was another review linked earlier in this thread which had a note at the bottom saying OTG would work and the reviewer was going to test it that evening. Waiting on an update on that review.

The official Nexus 7 guidebook is on Google Play Books free of charge and it says that the tablet supports USB keyboards, mice, gamepads and such like, is that OTG?

Do orders not through Google still get the £15 market credit?

Bit miffed. I ordered straight away after key note speech and now other places are doing free delivery.

But if they don't get the £15 credit then we still win :)

I don't think you get the play credit - but I'm not 100%

Though you save £20 in total because of the delivery charge on the play store.

That would be a no, then. :p
