I was toying with cancelling the google store pre-order for a cashbacked retail pre-order,

But knowing how these things occasionally get scarce at launch, and waiting several months for the cashback, best to probably hang in there!

There is no way I'm pressing cancel for my Play order. You can bet as soon as I do that they will be on back order and sold out everywhere

I wonder how many they have for the initial batch??

The shop that has the name buyer and begins with the letter that comes after D said they have 500. So assume most retailers have stock of 500 or so.

Oh yeah I saw that stock figure on a Etailer I went on.

500 each for a few online stores is pretty low. If you go over to hotukdeals website the Currys offer @ £189 is at a scorching 1600 degrees already! Its classed as the hottest deal of the day and it was only posted 3 hours ago!!

So it looks like there is quite a demand for this little baby.

I think I will keep my Play order

Not great news:

Unfortunately mounting USB storage natively is not supported on the Nexus 7. Hopefully rooted users will be able to use StickMount with the Nexus 7 and make this work.

Read the Kernel does support usbotg so will be a short time before its running.

Been reallying thinking about getting one of these, the price really does put it into the impluse buy range, which I guess is what google wanted.

Ahh don't know what to do. Cancel Play and get the 16GB from Curry's. I'm worried they might be out of stock though and I'll only find out once I cancel the Play order.

Ordered a 16gb from Play Store. I'm really looking forward to this. I've been on the xda forums and there's already a root and recovery method. It'll be interesting to see what e modders can do with it.

You can fill in a web form from a link on your order confirmation and it calls you back, just cancelled mine.

Even though I have the Play store one pre-ordered, I've just ordered one @ £189 + 5% cashback..

There is a chance that the £15 is done when you have a valid payment method assigned in your google wallet and you activate the Nexus 7, so it might apply to ones bought at retail.. until I find out who's shipping and state of that, I'll keep the pre-orders open..
