Can't get a straight answer out of googleplay. They said at the start it was TNT but after 7 phones calls and a complaint it now uti.

Got news this morning that it will be with us this morning.

Uti now had this parcel 12 days.

Claiming they tried but no one home excuse. My girlfriend is a stay at home mum and not left the house thus past 12 days sick kids

It was.

Am experiencing the joys of google as I wait for a Nexus 4 order. Also ordered Nexus 10 which arrived within couple of days.

Had thought of nexus 7 and thought they were more available.
 
All the non 3g models are easy to get hold of, but Googles done another great launch with the 3g version and had very little stock available.
 
Apparently I've just picked up the last one in London from the Oxford Circus store (sorry guys :p). They are not expecting any more deliveries to their warehouse (which has no stock) before Christmas :(

Also, the Amexbox offer worked, as I just got an email saying "congrats on saving £25 on your purchase at CPWH", so that's an effective £155 :D

Really liking the tablet so far, but I've just noticed a couple of small "dents" in the casing on the side which is a bit annoying (the box had been opened, but apparently just so a customer could compare to their own one... hmm).

Probably won't bother with the 3G one now!

Can anyone recommend a good sleeve or zip case for the Nexus 7? It's to be used when travelling around the country. Every day use will be without a case. Thanks.

Yes, the MOFI cases are ideal for this sort of thing. They are a soft padded zip case, and are 'customised' to fit the Nexus 7.

An EBay search should bring one up, and they are available for just under £10 with free carriage from one of their main UK distributors (think 'engine speed' ;) )... and a very helpful chap he is too! :)

Sorry if this has been covered already but what is the camera/mic/speakers like on the Nexus 7 as I'll be using Skype quite a lot. It's going to be between this or the Galaxy Tab 2.

I find the camera alright for skype calls, not the best. I haven't tested the mic, but when I'm in a skype call nobody has complained. And the speaker is pretty good for the size not the loudest, but very clear.

they should have put a big speaker bar on the bottom. i wouldn't of minded it being 1cm bigger. totally rubbish for playing music but i would say its loud enough for skype
 
Well, speakers started distorting when above 50% volume and the screens lifted and creaking. I can't be bothered to take it back at the moment though, I might wait till after Christmas.
 
Does anyone else find that the new lock screen with the widgets is incredibly slow to auto rotate. It can take up to 5 seconds to rotate the screen. Its really annoying me. Infact the whole of the new lock screen annoys me, I want the old simple one back.

Me too keeps making me want to turn auto rotate off.
 
I always have AR turned off. I feel like the N7 works best in portrait mode, and anything that needs to be landscape (Youtube, games, etc.) forces an auto rotate anyways.
 
Mate of mine has a 3D Printer and has just knocked me up a basic stand. Should get it from him Monday so will see what its like. Its just a basic block with a slot in it, but should do the job.

Poetic HardBack Protective Case

I wouldn't recommend anything else, no need for a sleeve when this is so easy to use and doens't bulk it up much. Can be had for £12 too.
 
What sort of battery life are people getting with this?

I'm only on my second full charge cycle, but not overly impressed so far... been playing a lot of Royal Revolt today, and also browsing, and it's only given me about 4 hours of screen on time.

Is this normal? I blame Tegra 3 if so :p
 
I generally get pretty good battery life, you running the latest version?
Ive been reading a few hours worth of comics and a few games a day, but mostly use it to replace my S2 when im indoors, so its constantly connected via unified remote and tablet talk and such.
