That's annoying, see the pixel 2 are discounted also. What's the return policy? I love the phone but I love money hah. Ordered oct 11 delivered 23rd ish. Guess it's too late for me to blah some money back :(

If you ordered with Google you can see how long you have to return it, which is usually longer than the 14 days we're allowed by law. But not as long as you need, that's ages!
 
Yeah it's a bit late now. It's unfortunate but early adopters always get stung with phones, they reduce in price over time (unless you're Apple :p but even then resellers reduce iPhone prices too towards the end of the lifecycle)
 
If I purchased direct from Google I would be at least emailing or calling to moan. You never know you might get something for free.

Sadly mine was contract via ee so that's a dead end.
 
I went on live chat to them and they wouldn't give me anything. "Sorry sir, you didn't order during the promotional period".

I know they don't have to give me anything, but now they had to pay to ship an new phone out and they've got an extra phone to process on returns. It's stupid.

Not a Pixel 2 specific complaint, but I'm definitely finding not having a headphone jack a ball ache. I was going to watch some videos at work today, and realised that while I remembered my headphones, I've either forgotten or lost my adapter already :(

Other than that, the phone after a month or so is proving to be a good companion and I still haven't changed anything on it - normally I'd be straight onto Nova Launcher but it hasn't happened here.

You have done well, I changed to Nova with hours. Google launcher is awful. Compared to Nova is just so archaic.

Must admit though, I might stick Nova back on and just see how I get on with it again, see how it performs on this device. I do miss certain features, like custom icon packs, removal of labels from icons, gestures, that sort of thing.
 
I've had mine a day and already on nova :D just too used to it.

one thing and wonder if it's just me.. do you lot have the issue with the phone unlocking when in pocket? assuming it's to do with always on display but I'd assume that would also be off due to proximity sensor??

every walk I seem to pull my phone out with a well written email open that my pocket monsters have writen.. or a nice black picture being sent to my gf over whatsapp.

Is your phone not locked with a code/pattern/fingerprint?

It is but if it's in proximity of my watch(safe Bluetooth device) then it doesn't require either.

I guess that could cause it.. weird to say the least as my s7 never had this.
 
I caved in and finally ordered the Pixel 2. I saw the Kinda Blue colour in EE store finally and it looked decent so opted for that one.

Ordered a cheap TPU screen protector until someone can recommend a decent Glass one.

Any recommendations on a case? I like the official canvas black one but then it'll hide the Kinda blue colour and from what can see isn't drop friendly. Anyone got the Rngke Fusion clear class or have most opted for the Spigen thin one?

I have the Ringke Fusion (clear). Not sure what to say about it other than it was fairly cheap, fits well, the sides are quite grippy, but is probably a bit thicker than I'd like. I will probably get a Peel case at some point.
 
I think the Ringke will have to do for now then even though it makes the phone a bit thicker. I can see it being dropped a few times when the kids get their mitts on it so will get it for the X-mas period. That Peel case looks decent but not shipping yet.
