**** The Official Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL Thread ****

only thing when buying from ebay (new or used) is no insurance company will touch it

they always have a caveat about insuring phones from auction sites etc

Hello guys. Not sure if it has always done it and I'm just starting to notice it but it looks like all the dark colours are bleeding around the screen depending on which way I am moving things. Like my screen is in slow motion. Starting to notice it more and more to the point it is bugging me now.

Didn't even mention it to the Mrs and she has noticed it flicking through a site on my phone earlier.

Also a lot of apps are starting to get unresponsive, where I have to flick over to another thing and flip back for it to start working properly.

Anyone experiencing similar problem? What are Google's turnaround times like if I was to try and get it replaced?

Thanks

Edit: Pixel 2 XL

Can anyone recommend a decent, reasonably priced Pixel2 tempered glass screen protector?

For phones like this with a curved screen I go for a Screen Knight screen protector. They're not tempered glass but they are excellent. I've ordered a cover for the front and back for £5.99.

If you do the CPW deal then yes, they cant refuse as you are in the 14 day cooling off period, Contract is with O2 not CPW.

I wouldn't of done this myself if it wasn't the cheapest way to get a 2 XL (brand new)

Thanks for the info

The US model I got turned out to be a Verizon model which meant the bootloader couldn't be unlocked. Useless to me as I run custom ROMs on my phones. Managed to get a new UK one from Swappa for £490. Only 64gb but that will do me.

I've had my 2xl for about a week now, I'm loving this phone (coming from an iPhone X).

I think I've been lucky as I got it for £479 (with cashback) from CPW.

the screen is good and completely uniform.

Not rattly speakers

Now my iPhone is up for sale!!

Any audiophiles care to share what their thoughts are on headphone quality with the Pixel 2?

I have both the Note 8 & the pixel 2 XL.

The Note is better for music no doubt. The pixel just seem to lack some sparkle compared to the Note.

If your buying the Pixel 2 XL for it's audio quality, you'll be disappointed.

Interesting. I used a iPhone X for a day last week to Trueplay my Sonos speakers and it reminded me of how poor the Pixel 2 screen is with its definate blue tint. The black crush in the evening/dark has always annoyed me.

Anyone here having Bluetooth issues?

I'm currently using the the Pixel 2. And the overall performance of the connection is pretty poor. Compared to my old Pixel 1 phone.

It's always been rock solid since purchase until very recently where I've started to experience dropouts/interruptions with my jaybird x3
