**** The Official Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL Thread ****

I got it last night too, its just the security updates nothing to get excited about.

P DP2 might be soon though if you're looking for something new to play with.

Multi touch?
Yes, there are reports of people not being able to game properly due to the multitouch bug making touches seem erratic at times. Some say it happens zooming photos too.
a magisk module was released last month, but it's taken until now for google to add the fixed code to their software

There was multi touch issues? I had (and still have) issues with the photos app, but that is just the app. Didn't realise there were more widespread issues.

I've had issues with multi touch, It is very prevalent when trying to play FPS games. Shadowgun was one that had erratic behavior where it would make the camera spin round like crazy when you were trying to move about.

I don't think most people would notice it unless they play a lot of games like the one I mentioned.

Installed it, Agree with the clock, 4G icon in the status bar is far too big too I preferred the old one. Not really a fan of the new notification shade either but at least it turns black I guess!

Navigation is a bit weird, But I'm used to swiping up from Pie Controls, So I'm fairly used to it.

Split screen is worse though now you have to tap an icon in the recents menu & you can select it from there. I'm sure there is something that I will like but overall so far it is pretty meh.

My screen is no longer flashing white intermittently when I lock the phone following the May update.

Maybe too soon to say but looks like it's been addressed.

Anyone signed up to the Android P public beta yet? Installing now and hope it won't be too buggy.

Definitely be interested to know how it goes, how stable it is, are there bugs. I can run it in an emulator and check my apps work, but nothing better than getting it on an actual device. Last O update it broke 80% of my apps (ones I wrote I mean) as they changed permissions and notifications. It's funny, as a user not much looks to change, but they change a lot in the background that makes a big difference, which I didn't really appreciate before.

It's bloody weird. I haven't experienced any issues with apps but I find things harder to do. When driving the car integration app likes to hijack the screen over Waze, I could double tap the square button before to quickly switch back. Can't do that via the new gestures in P. Split screen is also harder to use. I haven't been able to find the dashboard yet (I'm not sure I want to)
