But that's very subjective, isn't it. I think Kinda Blue Pixel 2 looks gorgeous and actually got me thinking about trying a smaller phone again.

Some don't like the glass panel at the top (despite me having a dBrand panel covering my glass). I love it. It would appear it's now going to be a Google branding thing too, with the Pixelbook having the same design. I like that this years looks to wrap round, rather than just being a window like last years.

Larger bezels really don't bother me. Maybe thinner bezels on my 2 XL will be nice, but tbh I've kinda steered clear of edge to edge so far as I worry about how I'm going to hold the thing without interacting with the screen!

I don't want a photo plastered around the phone, so the live case doesn't appeal.

Thanks, actually ordered it directly from MNML. Currently listed as $15, but code 'PIX215' gives you 15% off. Brings the total with shipping ($9.99) to around $23, but if you order two then shipping is free.
So in short, two cases for $25.49 delivered.
 
I thought, you know what, lets give one of these live cases a try, I'll get one with my YouTube logo on. It got cancelled for violating the live case t&c's?!?! I went to live chat support, after 15 minutes the guy tells me due to demand they can't review the automated decisions and there's nothing they can do. Maybe not then...
 
Those of you that have seen this in the shops (CPW?) Where about's was it? Non on the ones near me have them. :|

I played around with the squeeze feature, I found it's mainly at the bottom left and you only need to press there to activate it there. The phone vibrates like 3D Touch on the iPhone and it feels pretty good.

EE store for me, first one I walked into had one so not sure if it's all of them or I was just lucky.

It had a whole Google section just like they do for iPhones. Had P2, P2 XL and Daydream View headset on show.
 
wayhey i'm cpwh famous now ;)

I keep my 5x ina leather pouch. Guessing the pixel will sit in there ok whilst i either buy a new pouch or go for the spigen case/glass protector combo. I delayed a few days in ordering so my phone isnt due for dispatch until the 23rd :(

Did you know that you can adjust the "squeeze" feature to between light to heavy. I set the feature in the middle between the two extremes because:
1. I did not want the feature going off with a very light squeeze which I am sure I do whenever I take the phone out of my pocket or from a table, and
2. I did not need to be a muscle-man to activate the feature!

Fair enough, I only popped into the CPW here and they still had the OG Pixels on show, didn't bother asking the staff as they were all busy.


In other news:

That Power menu is a nice touch and I like that the launcher etc is adaptive.
