yum mine used to do it..Does anyone's Pixel 2XL wake itself or do other weird things in their pockets.
I've found mine woken and trying to dial or even sometimes unlocked in my pockets.
Rebooted twice in 2 days in my pocket.
I'm wondering whether I'm catching the power button in my pocket, or whether my skin is waking the screen, or my finger is accidentally going on the FP reader, either way quite annoying. I've never had another phone that did this for a long time! Probably since the likes of the Nokia dumb phones!
yum mine used to do it..
disabled all the "smart" wake features etc and only left the power button and finger print enabled and haven't had it do it again.
Just update via Play Store, no need to sideload.Just downloaded the APK and installed it. Will try it later.

The update wasn't available for me when I checked on the play store.
I just downloaded the APK from APK mirror and installed it from the download folder on my phone. Does that mean sideload?, I always thought you do a sideload via ADB command prompt.![]()
Ahh ok thanks, I did not know thatYeah that's the easier way of sideloading compared to ADB sideloading.
The phone flat out doesn't fast charge from a to cCheers FishLicker. Agreed, I already have a load of Anker usba>usbc cables but they don't support fast charge, so just looking for an Anker cable that will fast charge the Pixel2XL.
Will their usbc usbc 2.0 one work? I'm reading a bit of conflicting info about what will.
Cheers for the suggestion re: usbc laptop charger, just need a cable to shove in my bag along with the official charger.
So I tried out this new night sight feature, and I have to conclude its the most overrated feature in a long time. Everyone seems to be really excited by it, but for me, most shots just come out looking blurry, so ideally, you need to prop your phone up (or use a mini tripod) and use the timer to take the shot. OK, fair enough... but then even if you do get it right, the picture looks nothing like the reality, it’s like someone turned the lights on. Totally inaccurate. I really can’t see the point.
Plenty of great results on the Web.
I have come to the conclusion that either the phone or you are broken.![]()
