**** The Official Google Pixel 3 Thread ****

Yeah saw beta2 was out. Quicker than expected. Lots of leaks and stories around pixel watches coming this year ... Taking with a pinch of salt as same happened last year. But would be nice if they did a watch and refreshed the pixel buds to be actually wireless :D
 
Pretty impressed with the stand and cloth cover. My first Pixel device and overall, can't fault it. I've been using mid-range phones for several years. With the Pixel 3 down to Oneplus prices, it's a no-brainer for me with stock android and the ridiculously good camera.
 
Been looking into this phone recently just curious from users here is the 4gb ram a big issue like it's made out to be? My current phone has 4gb and gotta say never noticed anything (xz premium)

Not noticed any issues. Some say who have used other flagships side by side apps will close in the background more so often .
 
I do notice it a bit on my 2XL but I can't be sure whether its due to the app being programmed to refresh deliberately but in any case it generally happens fast enough that you tend not to notice, and I imagine the 3XL should be a smidgeon quicker again. That said I think I would like to see at least 6Gb on the new model later this year.

The major concern with the smaller one is the issue which plagued the XL last year, poor quality display (Pink/Green tints) Whites don't look white, or seem patchy.
 
price wise, direct from google and comparing to an s10+, price is almost indentical, so it's tempting me to go s10+ this year. the first non google phone i would have had since the nexus 4.

the only reason i'm against this is because i don't like inscreen finger print readers, and stock android/updates
 
I get at least 1.5 days out of my 3 XL, could easily last two full days.

Got my 3XL for 599 EUR a couple weeks ago from Media Markt, German equivalent of Currys. Google were selling them direct for the same price, although looks like they've gone up now.
