o2 seem to be offering £250 for the 64gb pixel 2. Makes phone £500.... now if google send me a vouchers that makes it a little more respectable for me.

I'm pretty sure it's not £75 off the phone. It's a £75 voucher for buying the phone. So as I read it you can use the £75 for something else after the fact.

By the time you have hidden that huge notch you'll have no screen left.

Well after watching that and thinking about it until now, I'm not ordering it, my replacement 2XL is only just over a month old. Will wait for a while....

...and yes, that notch is ******* hideous. I want to see it in the flesh in a shop to see if it is any bad as it looks.

The slate looks like it's supposed to be computer like (Intel i5, i7) but then why not get surface which has more capabilities, full apps and from the videos slate lags a lot.

I agree. I can't think of anything that a Surface with a full-blown OS won't be better at, and you'll still have access to all of the Google Suite apps.

Notch is utterly pointless on the 3XL. It doesn't need it as the normal 3 proves. It still has a chin because of the speaker, utterly shameless Google jumping on a bandwagon.

i'm feeling like there is no incentive to pre order at the moment. At least last year they gave up a home mini, ok its still sat in a box next to me but it made me feel all warm and fuzzy about getting something for free hah.

What a waste of screen space up the top there. I wonder with that and the part at the bottom that's forced to house the home pill which is around 8mm, what the true usable screen dimensions are.

Yeah I agree they should, and other manufacturers have done this too. I'm sure they could find a way to make the most of the notifications up there too (i.e. 2 rows of them or expanded - something like that).
