**** The Official Google Pixel 3 Thread ****

Well, it's more that you can actually see how much (extra?) room the cameras seem to be taking up compared to the single camera on the iPhone.

I think I've already made my thoughts on selfie cameras clear, but I'm sure some people will like the better (sic) cameras up front and don't mind the notch.

I give the guy credit. He didn't just moan about the notch, like many do, he looks into why it is like it is. He gives a reason. If you don't like the reason, that's up to you, but there is a reason. I didn't realise how wide the iPhone X notch is... that gets no hate? You can't actually fit any notifications up there can you?

**EDIT** Mind you, as someone that doesn't usually use a case, that video has me a little nervous.

wait what? taking selfies in the dark isn't a good thing? front facing speakers in the front are also a good thing? I do like the reasons for it.....I still dont like the look though

I'll get you a good selfie in the dark ;-)

oh yeah....I've ordered a case, skin and screen protector lol

I didn't mention selfies in the dark at all, let alone being good or bad? :confused:

I think the phone looks amazing (from the back) which makes me wanna go totally naked with it... but that one looked quite a mess after the small drop... Maybe I just make sure it's on my home insurance :)

No, you kinda complained that I missed out complimenting the front speaker decision. My bad, but I can't remember to list everything all the time.

The rear looks great, and feels even better. Shame i'm going to cover it up....but damn, it's getting covered up big time.
 
I was convinced I was going to replace my 2XL with a 3XL, but now, no. Pricing seems way too high, only a fairly incremental upgrade on the 2, and the notch is god awful.

I'll wait for the 4!
 
Just had a look at both in the local CPW.

The XL does seem incredibly nice - screen amazing, camera amazing, speed and responsiveness top notch. But... The notch. Could not live with it! So close Google.. so close.

The regular pixel 3 seemed perfect size and visuals wise but battery was dead so couldn't confirm. If the screen is like the XL then it's a winner I reckon.
Once you take away the dead space around the notch on the XL the screen sizes are remarkably comparable between the two. Did feel a bit narrow though.
 
I just got my £75 voucher offer email. It just says if you pre-ordered between 8am 9th Oct and sometime in Nov then you will get the voucher... in 6 to 8 weeks time. Still, I might use it to get a hub or the Nest doorbell perhaps.

The screen is equally as good....in fact, I personally thought it looked better. It's fantastic
