The trade offs that come with the price tag.
Sadly spot on kona, really annoying though - it stops me using that phone sadly

The guy in this video at 10:20 mentions 'now playing' and that it keeps a running history of songs it's heard.
But hang on... that means the phone is listening to everything not just songs and sending this data back up in to the cloud.
Is this not a privacy breach?

It is all done on the phone.
what's amazing and what i find hard to beleive about this, is that i was watching braveheart, and the credits started playing, and my phone told me that i was listening to braveheart credits song. now why that song make up would be stored on my phone i don't know but it's quite incredible.
who made that up? was that you that made that up or did you hear it some where?
also lets say it's true, how is that a privacy breach?
also, are you suggesting it's sending EVERYTHING to the cloud? so 24/7 noise to "the cloud"?
Nope & nope
It is all done on the phone.

I made that up. And it would be a breach as it's not just songs it's hoovering up but potential all conversations etc...
you know that you can hear a recording of every single time you've ever said ok google?
you know that the phone is always listening for the key word, ok google?
your phone, locally stores a history of songs played.
Don't jump to anything else other than that.
Me too, ive got a rugged Spigen case with me right now waiting. Thinking about putting a skin and screen protector on too. Ive had cases in the past that get grit etc behind and still scratch the back.I'm planing to put a case on mine anyway.
