**** The Official Google Pixel 3 Thread ****

My concern as noted above is when it rains does it not get all soggy and eventually stain/unknit etc?

With a plastic case like the Spigens sure it might get yet but it's waterproof so you can wipe it dry again.

Have you experienced issues with rain?

I haven't had any bother but i haven't got it truly wet but that said I've washed in water to clean it and it comes up perfect. The feel of it is so much better than any plastic/poly case I've had that it's worth any possible downsides but in fairness its much harder wearing than i thought and its saved my phone from a drop onto concrete and tiles so it does the protection thing well enough too.

I got the £75 off email from Google too but I've ordered it from MPD. Are the emails account specific or can I send to someone else to use?
By the wording in the email it has to be your gmail address buying the phone from the uk play store and your email address used at checkout to get the promotion.

I see two issues with the Google fabric cases:

1. I have been caught in heavy showers wearing a thin jacket and the phone did get very wet. A fabric case will get soaked and become soggy, a plasticy (waterproof) case would not.

2. Not that I ever put my phone face down but there doesn't seem to be any screen lip protection at least from what I can see from Pixel 2 Fabric case video reviews on you tube.

This is only useful in those rare instances when you might drop your phone and it falls face flat.

I think I am still leaning towards the Spigen thin case for only £10. It's what I've used on two previous generation of phones.

Those fabric cases are howling, like something your Gran would put on her phone, a wee tartan one.

Got an email from Quidco. They're doing £100 cashback through cpw for the pixel 3. Full disclosure I didn't read past the big print so I'm not sure what the deal actually is but could be worth something to someone.

I wonder why mine has been pushed back after initially going to that date as well. Maybe it's a 3 only delay.

What is this voucher? I never heard of anything.

This is amazing.

Some people have received a £75 voucher offer for google store if they purchase pixel 3, I think received after pre ordering, redeemable 6-8 weeks after purchase. Only for a subset of people though who registered for the marketing emails apparently, I asked gooGoo support what the criteria was to get one as I did indeed sign up for the email. They couldn't say.

I received the email, and bought using the buy it now button on that email.

I haven't seen any £75. :confused::(

Right, after messing about for the past few weeks trying to decide which phone to buy....I've pulled the trigger if only to stop me from going insane.

Pixel 3 XL in white on the vodafone deal I posted earlier. Think I'll sell the home hub on ebay.
Bargain deal!!
