3DM Vantage:1 card:21287
2 cards:33840

Computemark:647

Metro2033:1680x1050,max settings,30 min:1 card:89.c max,430 watts max
2 cards:87/87.c,696 watts max

I almost canceled my pre order for these cards in favor of a 5900,some early reviews gave me the impression the cards were gonna melt or blow up,but i have to say they run well, idle watts around 270,no louder than 2 260s.When
running metro for an hour, which seems to suck the most juice at 696 watts, both cards never get above 86ish .c

At that point the fan rpm hovers around 80pc,again not much louder than 2 260s.(Furmark pulls 600w and 91/76.c on the cards)

Whacking the fans up to 100pc turns it in to a hairdrier noise wise, but its nice
to know ive got a bit more cooling power.I thought id be sailing close to the wind with 850w psu and air cooling but with metro sucking (only)around 700w
and the idle/power, temps/wattage as they are,its a pc i can leave on for hours. To sum up,i think there pretty good cards,if your thinking of buying and dont mind the wattage but want the fps get a couple,,or 3,,,or 4.

Is it just me or does furmark multi gpu run gpu1@99pc and gpu2@35pc?

I can runs other benches if any requests......

jamma.

yeh you're good to go for nvidia surround, apparently it's software based so may or may not be as good as ATI's eyefinity, hard to find any info though don't think anyone has done it yet

mmm nice 900mhz core shows good scaling. don't understand the whole 470 sli vs 480 @900core, surely the sli setup would always thrash it yet I've seen this banded about..

hi
i got a problem with nvidia driers for my gtx 480
i dl and install 197.75 and is ok if i go to the nvidia page allis ok, but after i restart the pc and go to the nvidia page it shows that i got the old drivers 03.02. i unisnatl the old drivers and instal the new one but still the same. some help pls.
best regards

mine clocked straight to 800/2000 with the stock 0.987 voltage, nice little boost and not very much difference in temps

re:

near the end of the video u can see how much diff a fan makes.

I have tried it and it works very well for me, as its a huge heat sink with a vast surface area it stood to reason fans would definitely help :)
I added two 120mm fans in the base of my case which blow air directly on the card ;)

My idle temps are between 35c and 42c .... my temps running battlefield bad company 2 are around 80c, I suppose its only worth trying if you are using just the one card.

I done a un-boxing video Click here -------> GTX 480
You may have to wait a while for the point of where I have the fans installed though.

Cheers
mrix
