i like ocuk and bought so many things from them,.but this time had to buy my 480 gtx from some where else as ocuk price r to high,.i paid 400 and free delivery.,hope in d future we see beter prices from ocuk.,i know the card is short but it dossnt mean u have to put crazy price on it.

Thanks guys. I put them on more for silence than temperature but they've dropped the bottom cards load by 10c, the top one still hits the high 80s with an overclock of 775 under Combuster but thats with low speed fans throughout (noiseblocker 900rpm) so overall i'm happy.

not true, 480's in stock at competitor for just over £400 inc vat, am tempted.

I have seen OEM versions for under £385 with cash back from quidco.
A big difference from the £455 I paid for my Asus, but then again mine wasnt OEM.

These are retail with 2 years warranty, which is worth £15, am tempted and seems they have lots of stock.

as i said b4 sold my gtx 295 and got gtx480 and wow,wow,wow this card is monster.,its much faster than my 295 by all mean,.games run at 1920x1200 with 80 to 130 fps.,and picture quality is fab and so ******** clear.,and all the stories about heat and noise is bul****.,card overclock 2 830 with no voltage change.,idle 37 max 58 and that on stock cooler ,i kept the fan at 68% and noise is normal,.i have two fan on the side case wich is help.,now actully the temp is 34.,i couldnt be happier,.i think gtx 480 works fin with se2 board and if u have ur cpu at 4.0 u dont have any problem playing games at hi res.
i wish i could have the secound card for sli but i dont see the use of it as all the game runs so smooth.,
as u can see on the pic i had to cut my case and put those fan,and i have a blue dual fan under the graphic card wich help the temps.

i own a gtx 480 and a still got my old gtx 280 i want to know if i put on the same system one gtx 480 and a gtx 280 for phyx i will boost my performance.
Probably not considering the lack of PhysX games out there at the moment.
The only reason I've done it is because I didn't require a new psu and had a spare 260.
What psu do you have at the moment?

I would say don't bother. As stated there aren't many physx games...my advice is just to sell the 280...or if you really want a dedicated physx card still sell the 280 and get something more power efficient like a GTS 250 or 9800GTX+. It would save you having to buy a new PSU and you'd still have money in the pocket.
