The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

so have been tracking since the end of last week. not played that many games (yesterday just completed quests)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13eg39kygDFB8nyowqsaksDRirD61WrkvVGfFTvo7oDE/edit?usp=sharing

handlock seems to be working so at the moment (i did deviate for the lols as its the end of the season anyways)

at least its something i can look at. ive been playing variations of handlocks for a long time (was one of the first decks i used) so generally know the match ups quite well.

the new cards coming up is gunna throw a spanner in the works though. not sure if i can stretch to buying the 50 packs this month so may have to just roll with the gold route (only got 400 though)

Are they changing arena with this tournament.

I don't want any more GVG cards hope they allow tournament cards to be won in arena.

why don't you use the tracker or is it because you play ipad version joelk?

I had my poorest month so far got to 16 then fell back. Enjoyed playing Rogue even though it's a tough hand to play. tried Priest and even pally.

Enjoyed playing a few mill rogue decks just for laughs actually won a couple as well... :D missing thalnos and muckla though.

Also loving the warrior "get in here" deck with gang up thrown in for some laughs. it's currently sitting at 50/50 with 20+ games played.

99.9% of my hearthstone play is on my phone (infact i cant remember the last time i played on the pc) so an excel sheet is something i can easily edit on the go after a game.

I'm totally stuck around rank ~12 at the moment... finally got into wing 2 of BM and got the Imp Gang Boss to go in my Zoo deck, and it's doing relatively well but I seem to just be bouncing back and forth between 12 and 13 forever... (I'm using mostly Zoo and Face Hunter for now)

Seems I have a few good matchups with other "ordinary" (F2P?) players where the game is close but I have a good chance to come out on top... but then end up in a few games against OP-McGee with nothing but high-quality cards and every legendary under the sun; just got to brush it off I guess until someday you have a fuller collection

having the extra cards doesnt make you any better of player though buddy.

last few months ive been stuck on rank 12 ish and as mentioned previously ive got every card (minus 30 legendarys) - but still have a lot (if not all) of the better legendary cards.

its most definitely the most frustrating game ive ever played. ie yesterday i played 5 games and won 5 games, today so far ive played 4 and lost 4.

The pre-purchase pack for TGT is in the store now. £34.99 for 50 packs and a card back, one purchase permitted per account. If you are an intelligent person who pays with Amazon Coins through the Android client, there is also a 20% Coin refund on top of a 10% discount for bulk buy.

If, like me, you are a master of foresight who purchased his Coins on Prime Day with the 25% bonus on top of the 10% discount, the pack will cost you Coins to the value of £20.15.

how do you do the coins thing? ive seen it mentioned a few times but not really looked into it.

edit: just had a look and cant do this as theyve temporarily removed hearthstone from the amazon appstore.

but a question, how many coins does it cost for the TGT expansion?

Sure... completely agree with that... but all other things being equal a player with access to the full card set does still have a little extra advantage over a player who is missing a decent amount of them...

I think that's why I like Arena better

If you use it, be a kind chap and say here so others don't try :) I am making a mega assumption these are transferable and not account bound (seems real unlikely) it's not my fault if it doesn't work yak yak yak.

TGT isn't an expansion like BRM or Naxx. It's a new set of boosters and it will cost the same as Classic and GVG. 1 Coin = 1p for in-app purchases, so the pre-order offer costs 3499 Coins.

How to do Coins:

0) Uninstall Hearthstone from your Android device if it's already installed.

1) Install Hearthstone through your Amazon account.

2) Buy Amazon Coins in the normal manner. There will usually be a discount of at least 5% on all purchases, rising to either 10% or 20% on purchases of 5000 or 10000 Coins.

3) Log into your Hearthstone account using the Android app you got from Amazon and go to the Shop.

4) When you select your purchase, you should be asked if you wish to pay using a payment card or Amazon Coins. (If you missed Step 2, you can buy Coins at this stage.) Choose Coins. If there is a Coin refund offer on, you will be told about it at this point. Refunds are usually 20%, but occasionally go as high as 30%.

If you follow these steps, and are willing to buy Coins in bulk well in advance rather than as you need them, you can save anywhere from 10% to 44% on all Hearthstone purchases - packs, adventures and alternate heroes all benefit from the savings.

If you want to spend £x on packs and get the most for your money, there's an extra step. Due to a slight quirk in the pricing system, buying packs in 2s is actually slightly cheaper than buying in 7s - every transaction made in 2s will save 0.71 Coins, rising to 1 Coin if there's a 20% refund on. However, you should calculate in advance what you can get with or without a refund. With a 20% refund you will always get more packs from a 5k buy with 7s, regardless of how many buys you've made.

Thanks for the detailed post but you have this the wrong way round. TGT is an expansion - the 2nd one after GVG. Naxx and BRM are adventures not expansions.
