***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

got my cheap 32gb one today cheap, its a piece of slow juddery $%^& compared to my ipad2.

still it was 25% of the price so for a 2nd tablet its fine....

btw HP, my finger tip is sort of round NOT oblong... pass this onto the designers..

so that is great for the price but pants in comparison to the real thing...

Yeah it's nowhere near worth £400 brand new, better once overclocked but still not as good. It should be MUCH MUCH better once Android is on it though.

I am finding the keyboard misses letters too when typing fast, this doesn't happen on the iPad or Android tablets where the keyboard is much better. Also the browser has some rendering bugs on some sites. When replying on forum it won't automatically scroll up a bit so you can see what you're typing into a quick reply box either. My GSII does this fine.

I will definitely be looking at the Galaxy note to upgrade to either way because I love the resolution :p

I am loving my TP, clocked and runs so nice now. Was a little slow, but for the price its awesome.

Was looking at buying another laptop, but this such a better choice for just quickly looking at the net etc, the app side of things doesn't bother me as I can just browse the web without worrying I might hit a 'flash' page.

I personally find it fast (oc to 1.5ghz and patches galore ofc) and that it does everything I want on it. I would like to have some more games in it and a few more apps but it seems that a lot are being developed at the moment.

My recommendation is to get Communities which is Tapatalk for webOS.

IPad hasn't got flash, right? By that alone it's pants.

I'm taken by the standby battery endurance. With my relatively light use at work/in evenings for web browsing/listening to music etc it lasts for days. Looking forward to having it to travel with as it will be miles bettery battery wise than a laptop for watching movies in airport terminals/aircraft.

Yup, I'm spending 24 hours travelling come Sunday morning. 3 flights, 3 airports and some taxis, plenty of time to waste away on my touchpad. 25gb of tv series episodes to watch :p

I watched 4 episodes of Futurama on it in HD yesterday lunch and it still isn't dead, considering I unplugged it Wednesday night it's doing good.

I'm sure another crack has appeared overnight... This time between the speaker and screen so there is a bit of plastic that wobbles about... I'll be interested to see what the quality of the one you get back is, although as most will be going back for the case its just the screen that needs checking.

Today I shall be mostly counting touchpads

anyone found a clustering app ? ;) :p

The touchscreen takes some adjusting to, but for me having the numerical row on screen without having to switch layouts is a relief (from my iPod touch).

It is pretty good, I used it on the flight to Florida, 9 hours, and it manged two HD movies and an episode or two of Community before passing out.

crack by speaker and usb port have just appeared randomly, not going to bother sending it in if they'll just send me a refurb.

Damn, I just had a look at mine and there is a crack by the speakers... I knew it was common but it really does seem like a very common feature...

I just checked mine and I've got a little one at the bottom of the bottom speaker. :(
