:D

Anyone got an RDP app for this?

Cheers

Tom.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

I just turn on my device and fail at the first hurdle... My network is a uni network and requires signing in via webpage after connection... Apparently the touchpad doesn't support this at the configuration phase...

So any way round this other than wondering round and seeing if I can find some unsecured wireless...? :(

Possible to tether from your phone?

Think I may have to see if my T-Mobile Sim works in my old WM phone...

Damn you WP7, why do you have to be so backwards in certain ways!:p

I shall return :D

bracing my self for :o:o and a red face.

edit: oh man that will teach for me not rummaging through the entire box beforehand! Thank you.

I did that at first, was like WTF?!

Currently setting up my girlfriends one ready for her with preware etc, update downloading sure took longer this time to download than with mine yesterday!!

Just going through the 12 Preware Patches.

1.Advanced Reset Options: Adds advanced functionality and options when the power button is held down.
2.Autostart Exhibition: Allows Exhibition to start from the application itself.
3.Faster Card Animatons HYPER Version: Increases the speed of card animations (visual effect only, does not improve system performance.)
4.Hide VoiceMail Button: Hides the Voicemail button in the phone application.
5.Increase Touch Sensitivity And Smoothness 10: Decreases some of the jitteriness when scrolling and loading providing a more precise and smoother visual experience.
6.Just Charge Button Label: Changes the “Cancel” button to the more descriptive and aptly titled “Just Charge” when the device is connected to your computer via USB.
7.Just Charge by Default: Will send the TouchPad directly into “Just Charge” mode when attached to your computer via USB. You can then toggle this setting via the notification dashboard if you want to enter USB mode.
8.Launch with Folder View Minimized: Forces the email application to launch with folder view minimized.
9.Muffle System Logging: By default WebOS logs nearly every action you take. This patch changes that behavior so that it will only log errors.
10.No Video Pause on Minimize: Allows video to continue playing even when the screen is minimized, dimmed, or off.
11.Remove Dropped Packet Logging: Stops WebOS from needlessly logging dropped packets.
12.Remove Tap Ripple: Shuts off the annoying ripple effect that appears each time you tap on the screen which in turn minimizes the lag associated with displaying the effect each time.

This is tedious. :p:D

Gah!!

Seems it can't find the tethered connection... Yet it works because my laptop can.

So it seems I'm going to have to have a wonder round... How long does the initial setup actually take?
