***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

Google won't release the honeycomb source code, but will for ics.

At least getting gingerbread up and running, means that an ics port should be pretty straight forward.

Depends how much they cost to make tbh! I would imagine it would only be a couple of quid out of 3mm ply. Plastic would be more!

I've seen some called the iBend (yeah, really). They're literally 0.5mm plastic that stores flat. Would probably cost pennies to make something similar.

Pics of the poundstretcher bits are on the way, soon as my usb port stops playing silly bugger.

Edit - Here we go, just a phone pic but good enough id imagine.

I cut a hole in the top, for the usb port of course.

Anyway both are a quid each.

They do a black/grey cover as well.

Oh I was going to say it may cause problems with 4od so don't use it :p

Are you watching iPlayer in SD? Will most likely not handle 1080p well at all,but I haven't tried it yet to be honest :p

iPlayer HD is actually only 720p.

The touchpad does seem very close to decoding it fine. The stream is after all only 3200kbps and the touchpad (and android tablets) can do higher bitrate 1080p video on youtube fine.

iPlayer SD is 832*468 which doesn't utilise the 1024*576, the touchpad can show, completely.
