***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

Managed to get a Touchstone charger in the end, not much to say really does exactly what you'd expect! The unit itself is a lot smaller than I expected, and plenty sturdy to have the tablet in portrait or landscape. No idea on charge times etc. yet as I've hardly used it :p.

I also grabbed an official HP case, its more or less exactly the same as the original ipad folio case only the folding tab is velcro secured not magnetic :/ Makes usage a bit more clunky, not sure I'll keep it or give it to my Mum with her 16gb.

I actually quite like it as Velcro, fits the job better for my Sons tbh, but i do understand what you mean.

I ordered the HP KB for mine too, but thinking i might like a neo case for it too that would take the touchpad and the HP case inside if you have an idea's?

Posted in the other thread accidentally - I'm in a dilemma here..

I got my 32GB but the screen in comparison to the 16GB one is shocking. See for yourselves:

16GB (Left) 32GB (Right) - Both are on highest brightness.

DSLR is out of order so Desire HD was best I could do (ignore the noise).

I'm not sure what to do. The 16GB's brightness on half is comparable to the 32GB's.

32GB Pros: Blacks are blacker. Colours more vibrant.
16GB Pros: Whites are whiter. Super bright!

Which should I keep? Grrr :(

I heard that HP are pulling out of the tablet and pc market ?

Wow we have a quick one here guys :p

They have, hence the ridiculous price cuts.

What's this?

Look for the box,net app on the WebOS app store, you get 50Gb free cloud storage for life. Usually costs $20 per month. Has to be activated through the app but can be used on any computer once activated. Dunno if you've ever used Dropbox or similar but you basically put a file from your computer into a specific folder, and you can access it on other devices without taking up the actual device memory. So dump a few movies in it from your computer and you can watch them on the tablet etc etc.
